I was there with my girlfriend, the service was really nice, friendly people that answered to all our questions about the ingredients and food. We first ordered wine and the charcuterie board that was really nice, paired with butter and a sort of pickle purée, I loved it because it pairs well. The charcuterie was of good quality. What wasn’t up to our expectation was the steak. Despite this restaurent’s specialty seeming to be meat, the steaks were not that good… first they are using aged steak, which honestly is great, but the steak was under-seasoned which is typical in France because they like to dip it in sauce. The steak sauce I ordered was the echalotte and red wine which was really nice. What was bad about the steak was the cooking. First I ordered it medium rare and I got it blue. My girlfriend ordered hers medium and she got it rare. Then, the steak had no crust, and was chewy. It’s a disappointment to pay 30€ for a chewy, under-seasoned steak. But well… they paired a nice sauce and a nice potato purée with it and nicely cooked vegetables. Honestly I wouldn’t order steak at this restaurent anymore, but I would try other dishes if I had the chance to pass by it again. Our experience wasn’t bad at all, it’s just a disappointment to expect a properly cooked steak, and get a steak without crust, and is chewy.
