7/10Food was good but nothing was really astonishing us. The sommelier was a bit better than the director who was a bit rude at a first instance. All in all , good but could be better.

7/10Very pleasant place though tables were a bit too close together for such a high class restaurant. Staff was very knowledgeable about the food and the wine but not the most welcoming. Portuguese wine selection should also be larger. Glad I went but would not repeat.

7.5/10Fitzgerals is uch a nice place for a romantic dinner. The lush patio for outside dining offers a great atmosphere in downtown Rotterdam. We were especially pleasantly surprised with the extensive wine list. Knowing our taste, teh sommelier offered very litttle rebuttal- although I do like to be challenged in my choices. We discovered a wonderfully surprisng,, elegent white from the Rheinhessen region (Wittmann weiisser Burgunder), and it has been my go to wine since. The food is excellent, creatievly and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, albeit a bit formal for the type of restaurant and clientele that would visit such a place. That said, I recommend this place and it is definitely on my "let's go again"-list.

10/10The Restaurant Fitzgerald was a spectacular experience. The 7-course menu was harmoniously designed with each course building on the previous. The ingredients were delightfully chosen to provide complex but balanced flavor profiles through sweet and savory matched with chosen acids to hit each part of the tongue. Multiple fish courses were bridged to the venison course with a buttery, melt in your mouth sweetbread course. The only slight tweaks I could offer was for the consistent use of avocado and some of the other flavors in almost every course be explained in a story to perhaps add context to how the chef designed and orchestrated the menu. Also, a coffee infused mole sauce would provide an extra element of depth to that delicious venison course. The final course was a nice culmination with the dessert not being overly sweet yet having flavor elements that tied the themes throughout the previous six courses together. Finally, the service was professional and well choreographed. For instance, my wife and my dishes were almost simultaneously placed in front of us with matched arrangements throughout the evening. Each course was meticulously described and my wife and I were definitely well taken care of.

10/10We’ve spent a fantastic evening at Fitzgerald. Above expectations., Friendly and professional staff, Creative and delicate modern cuisine, Wine pairing on the spot for each dish. Only point of improvement concerns the butter proposed with the excellent bread. Very cheesy, too heavy for something that is supposed to accompany you through your menu, Pricing reasonable for this level of cuisine. 2 stars should be on their way ! Congrats

10/10I fell in love with the restaurant years ago when they just openen and before they had a star. They earned this Michelin rate! Even beyond! I love the interior and the colors too (my favorite)! I can’t wait to dine and experience it again. Thank you!

9.5/10Fitzgerald is geared towards a high flying gastronomic experience. The meals are researched and propose an incredible richness of tastes, derived all in a very elegant plating. Expensive, but worth every cent. The wine list is epic.

7.5/10We enjoyed the food. While we had told the restaurant in advance that it was my birthday they did nothing to make it special. I was too tired to eat dessert but ordered a coffee instead. On leaving they told us that the chef had prepared something for me to mark the occasion. Weird!

5/10I did not understand why they gave the chef of this restaurant a Michelin star. The food is not tasty, in restaurant is very noisy, the dishes have been waiting for a long time (min. 40-50). We hurried very much, asked for the bill immediately after the hot dish, settled in and went to the exit, the waitress caught up with us and began to demand money !!! We felt not very nice. I really disappointed!! I do not advise anyone

You arrive at 20;45 pm, hardly talk to any us, are totally uninterested in any help/advice, however friendly it may be, etc. The you hardly touch your starter, and after we kindly ask you if everything was all right you say 'Yes, thank you'. We don't want to rush you because you only ordered a starter and main course on Friday evening, and at 21:30 you suddenly say you have to leave because you are in a hurry. You gobbled the main course and without even waiting for someone to clean your plates stand up and leave. N ot that strange your waitress asked if you have paid the bill, we've never seen such speed. Quite a sad story the way you share it here, specifically since we could have helped you find a restaurant where you a)can sit alone and calm on Friday eveningsa and b) eat fast, really fast.

9/10Went for the expensive "this side of paradise" wines per course (6), which were indeed excellent. Some service elements can improve, E.g. paying at table with card instead of at bar, spoon with they, when asked for sugar, etc.. But wines were the reason we came here and they did not disappoint!

3/10The Langoustines & Imperal Kaviar was too expensive with 39.00 EUR. It was so few that I nearly could not find it on ma plate. 3 stripes 40 x 3 mm - impossible! This was no go! And the brioche has not been served.

First of all thank you for visiting our restaurant last Saturday. We did off course ask you if you had enjoyed your evening and did not receive any comment; obviously the review we got from you does not reflect our impression of what has occurred. The dish with caviar you describe is a delicate dish with 5 grams of imperial caviar and 2 langoustines. These ingredients are quite expensive and a large dish or more weight of the dish is not something we look for. It is a delicate and tasteful dish with the brioche purposely served as tiny blocks. We would have loved to explain this to you. You chose it yourself we did not force you, as you did with the other langoustine dish, the Rubia Gallega and sea bass. You also got 4 amuses from us which we do not charge. All in all you should not be hungry. Your harsh criticism (also about our service) after you left, and therefore missing out on the opportunity to discuss this with us is unappreciated and unfunded we feel.

10/10This place is amazing all around. The best service I've experienced since I moved to Europe. Better than any Michelin Star restaurant. The food is so flavorful, they had my favorite wine from Napa Valley, and the ambiance just felt good. I will definitely be back!
