great food in a beautiful setting

+1My husband & I came came to this restaurant 6 years ago with our children and we had such an amazing experience that we had to go back for celebrating my birthday! The food, the service, and the ambiance are fantastic! 🙏❤️🌻

The service was slow between sitting down and taking a drinks order, this would allow time to settle in and read the menus. I would have preferred the bread to have been a pre course rather than arriving at the same time as the first course. I was shocked to see the waitress take away my wife’s dish whilst I was still eating my first course! Nice break between starter and main courses. All dishes were of a good quality and balance of flavours. Food good Service let it down

Beautiful setting and the views, very romantic atmosphere. Food was good, not excellent but for this touristy area in my opinion it was tasty and good value. However our evening didn’t go as planned, I believe it is not a fault of the restaurant but the hotel itself, but since restaurant is a part of this hotel I guess it’s also their fault. They have glass sliding doors without any signs to keep guests attention to be careful. I walked into one of them on the way out of the restaurant (without any clue there were a glass door as it was open when we arrived) and cut my eyebrow. So our night ended up in the hospital emergency room and the holiday we were looking forward ended with more hospital visits, stitches and scar on my face. The way this accident was handled by the personnel disappoints me the most, clearly their fault and not following any safety precautions in this type of establishments. So yes restaurant is beautiful and very romantic but be careful when going there.

Awesome views, but overpriced food that was mediocre at best. Service was also very slow, although the restaurant was not busy. We stayed on the Amalfi Coast for 3 days and this was the worst food we had on the trip, with the highest price.

The waiter at the restaurant was very caring and knowledgeable and dominated the menu, he guided us very well. The starters and main dishes were very delicious. See you next year

We went to this restaurant knowing that it was very expensive and exclusive. The food was very good, but if you are expecting a traditional Italian meal this is not the place to go to. For a restaurant as expensive as this one, they should have some sort of aircon. They did not even have a fan. We sat outside, with a beautiful view but we dined with bugs, they were all over the table constantly. The heat and bugs is somewhat expected at some restaurants, but not when you are paying as much as you are here. The service was ok, somewhat standoffish. This felt more like a French restaurant rather than an Italian one. They had beautiful views but with so many other options with some sort of ventilation we will not be returning here.

The plece is outstanding and food too. Is a place that meet the standard of Amalfi coast 5 star. Considering the location 200 euros for 2 person still a good price. I will absolutely go back.

The food oh my. From the presentation to the tasty delights, this was truly the best meal I’ve had on the Amalfi Coast in the 2 weeks that we’ve been here. The fish was excellent and the pork was amazing as was the carrot cream and baby carrots. We shared 2 desserts which were simply amazing. The ricotta, pear and chocolate, and the cream puff with passion fruit and coconut sorbet were absolute delicious.

This is such a special place and setting. Everything was such you’d die happy if it was your last meal out! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. This is how you do a restaurant. Thank you franchino for a very memorable night.

The ambience, table/seats, view were all incredible. It was very upscale and worth dressing up for. The food was fabulous and well presented. A 'must-do' meal, if you're staying in the Praiano area.

Phenomenal meal and ambiance watching the sun set over Restaurant Franchino. We loved everything from the tuna ceviche to the egg plant parm, amberjack risotto and tiramisu. Would 100% recommend!

Awesome location. Tasty food—each dish was plated beautifully and delicately (in other words, less was more!). Desserts were fantastic with an interesting twist on the typical tirimisu. We were greeted well and seated promptly upon arrival, service could have been a bit more engaging throughout.
