8.5/10Nice large menu including papadam which is rare in CH. Tasty dishes. Prices a little high. Some of our dishes tandoori were served a little cold .

10/10Today, we had lunch buffet (starter, variety of main dishes, fresh vegetables and sauces). In terms of quality and cost they are unbeatable. For us, this is the place to go whenever we want to have Indian food in Lausanne. We’ve never been disappointed, lunch or dinner.

9/10Restaurant Golden India provides a satisfying dining experience with delicious food and top-notch service. The ambiance is enjoyable, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Although the value for money is average, it's a great spot for a quality Indian meal.

6.5/10Food was very good. Nice location, was seated outside on the balcony with a lake view. Unfortunately with one waiter the service was not so good, no smile, not welcoming, which impacted the experience. Friend ordered a vegetable madras, but waiter pointed to something else on menu and said ‘this will be better for you, at madras spice level’, without giving us a chance to read it properly on the menu. When he brought it out, it was a paneer curry ( friend has allergies to cheese). Immediately raised this to the server and he just said ‘you can pick around the cheese’, ‘what do you want me to do’ and walked off. This would have left not much curry left and wasn’t an acceptable solution ( esp with the price of a dish) so had to raise the issue again and after a lot of persuasion and a waiter clearly not bothered or wanting to help, managed to get a replacement ( although suspect cheese had just been picked out). The other waiter however, was fantastic, the high service expected.

10/10Lovely food and excellent service. The restaurant is on 1sr floor so could see view down to the lake. Big portions and free extra rice provided. Very enjoyable visit.

9/10The bread basket was amazing, the roti and garlic naan especially! We also enjoyed the dishes we ordered (aloo palak, fish curry) and would go back/recommend. Next time we would like to try their chana masala and one of their lamb curries!

9.5/10This restaurant is fabulous. Most importantly, the food is great, tasty and nicely served. On top of that, staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurant has improved decoration and lighting, making it now a pleasant place to sit at. It is one of the few restaurants I repeatedly go to. Extra bonus: a lot of choice for vegetarians

10/10After trying many restaurant in Lausanne, finally found this authentic one . The food is really good, we asked them to customize it to make it more spicy and they did it and in the end I would say the taste is more close to what we eat in India. Definitely recommended.

9.5/10Was looking for a good Indian in Lausanne and glad to find this new place. It's on the first floor and the entrance isn't very obvious. Good Punjabi cuisine; really enjoyed the lentil soup to start, and the lamb Jalfrezi was rich and flavorful (albeit spiced down a bit for Swiss tastes), though the nan was a bit thin and soft to my taste. The service was attentive and very friendly, will definitely return!

As I lived a number of years in London,I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in all corners of the city, one is certainly spoilt for choice. Because of this, I can be quite critical of Indian meals if the balance of flavours isn't just right. Having visited 'Golden India' three times now, I have to say that both the quality of food and the service in this restaurant are excellent .The food is authentic, prepared by a chef from Goa who seems to know his spices very well ! I was delighted with the great choice of dishes on the menu,meat,fish and vegetarian, as well as a good variety of Nan bread which was also very tasty. I chose the Byrani rice as accompaniment to my Lamb Bhuna ,it was delicious ! Don't miss the Mango Cream dessert with honey or you will regret it !! If you like Chai (Indian tea),this is where you will find a good cup with just the perfect blend of subtle spices. A big fan of Indian food.???? U
