3/10I made a booking for a group of 35 people and asked in advance if a pre-order is required and if the restaurant could offer some starters to share at the beginning. Nothing was needed. When the group arrived the restaurant was completely overstrained and the staff had nothing prepared. Group members reached out to me and pleased me not to book the restaurant again for the future.

10/10Love this place. They are always super friendly and they offers great food while bing also very welcoming. First time coming with a big group (18 people), they were quick to make some amends (originally booked for 16 only). Was very happy with it, thank you for having us!

10/10SERVERS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND WE RECEIVED SEVERAL TREATS “ON THE HOUSE” INCLUDING TZATZIKI SAUCE AND VERY RICH AND TASTY CHOCOLATE PISTACIO MOUSSE. HUMMOUS WAS ESPECIALLY DELICIOUS. WE ORDERED MANY STARTERS AND FETA AND OLIVE SALAD, ALL DELICIOUS.

Geachte, Hartelijk dank voor uw bezoek bij Olijfje. Wij bedanken u voor de moeite die u heeft genomen om een recensie te schrijven. Wij leren van positieve maar ook van minder leuke berichten. Tijdens uw diner hebben wij u een paar keer gevraagd of alles naar wens was en u heeft aangegeven dat alles prima was en dat u geen opmerkingen had. Tevens was u continu op uw telefoon waardoor wij u niet wilden storen. Wij hopen u weer terug te zien en u weer mogen bedienen. Met vriendelijke groet Olijfje

10/10Lovely restaurant, very close to the National Opera & Ballet (which only has a basic cafe). We parked at Q-Park Waterlooplein, which is practically opposite Restaurant Olijfje, although there's also a metro station. We had 4 delicious starters rather than a full meal, and this was enough for us two ladies. There are only a few cocktails, but we were happy with an Apero Spritzer each. The restaurant filled up between 6pm and 7.30pm, and everyone was served quickly and efficiently. The service and food are much better than the average for Amsterdam! Great place to eat if you're seeing a show or visiting Waterlooplein.

2/10Made reservations from Canada months prior to going which was confirmed by the restaurant. Upon arrival after walking 20 minutes to get there from our hotel we found that they were 'closed for vacation'. Would have been nice to inform us of this so we could have made other plans. We saw another couple there who had the same thing happen to them.

9.5/10Lovely evening and delicious dinner at Olijfje. We had a large mix if starters all were delicious. The service super friendly and quick. The restaurant was full and a bit noisy but we liked the buzz around us. Thanks Olijfje we highly recommend to all!

10/10Four of us went out for an evening meal at 7pm on a Wednesday night to celebrate my birthday. So glad that we booked. Every table was taken for the whole evening - but we still had great service and superb food. We enjoyed every course of our meal and would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately it was our last night otherwise we would be going again.

10/10This restaurant was suggested to us by our daughter and it certainly lived up to expectations. The ambience is great and there is a place to hang one’s coats. The service was excellent. The wine was good for the price. The food was superb. Free bread basket and olives. We were served water without asking for it. A thumb’s up! The fool had good portions and was delicious. We had Prawn Al Ajillo as a starter. Sea Bass and Lamb Kebabs as mains. Each of the mains is served with vegetables, rice and salad.
