9/10Right on the canals with a cost atmosphere and good service. Food was delicious as we also saw on other reviews. We had the lobster roll with fries and it was awesome. More than enough for a lunch.

6/10I’ve been to Restaurant Red before, as well as Black and Blue, and my past experiences were okay. Nothing bad, nothing standout. This visit was similar food-wise, but the overall experience stayed positive because of the service. It was a pleasant evening, and I ordered the escargot, carpaccio, and burger. The carpaccio was disappointing. It looked pale and lacked the freshness I usually expect. As someone who often orders carpaccio, this one didn’t land and felt like it had been prepared earlier. The burger looked fine on the outside. The bread and vegetables were decent, but the patty was cold inside, which took away from what could have been a solid dish. The escargot was the highlight. I’m not an expert, but it was enjoyable and clearly better executed than the other dishes. What really stood out was Ivan. His energy was genuinely great. Warm, attentive, and natural. He made us feel welcome without trying too hard, and that honestly shaped how the evening felt. He’s the main reason

Amazing Dorade. Very fresh from the Oven with the twig of Rosemary was excellent. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Fries however could get an upgrade and veggies are a bit rare with the dish.

9.5/10We discovered Restaurant Red thanks to The Fork and a special price but it is the double we should have paid. Food is delicious and waitress really nice. Wines were also good. We had a great moment.

10/10Very nice food, attentive staff and nice surroundings. The tables are packed very closely together though, so an intimate dinner can be difficult if the restaurant is busy.

3/10We arrived on time for our reservation. We asked to be seated by a window just as our reservation notes asked for. The waitress was annoyed that she had to clean the only window table so that we could sit there. That was a bit odd. We were then served a menu and a wine list and ordered our drinks shortly. The man that took our order was very pushy into getting us to try the prawns after I ordered the scallops and escargot. Finally I gave in and was very dissatisfied with the blandness of the shrimp. Wish we could have just ordered what we wanted. But as the waitress cleared our appetizer plates she spilt garlic butter sauce literally all over my pants. Nothing was done only for a small apology and a yellow rag to clean my pants. ADE Saturday let’s just say smelt of garlic and butter all night long. For a restaurant we visit frequently, the quality in every way seems to be going down and down. The fact that my pants got ruined and nothing was done to rectify the situation was sleazy.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food quality was outstanding, every dish was fresh and full of flavor. It’s definitely a place worth visiting again, and we look forward to returning.

+1Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Red, and from start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, making it a memorable evening of indulgence. 🍽️ Starters We began with a delicate beef carpaccio, beautifully arranged with arugula, pine nuts, shaved cheese, and a swirl of creamy dressing. The toasted bread on top added just the right crunch – a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The second starter, a fresh burrata salad, was a true highlight. The creamy burrata paired wonderfully with crisp greens, juicy tomatoes, capers, and a touch of balsamic. Light, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. 🍖 Main Courses For the main course, we enjoyed a braised lamb shank served over rich, buttery mashed potatoes. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and deeply flavorful, complemented by a hearty sauce. Equally impressive was the crispy duck leg, served with sweet potato purée and red cabbage. The skin was nice.

It's a nice view on the Keizersgracht, whether on the terrace or inside with the large windows. The menu variety of seafood, steaks, and burgers gives something for every one. Pleasant service. Interesting variety of the full lobster. But found the lobster to be "just okay". We also experienced a kind of hygiene issue, where one of the napkins on the table had chewing gum; not ours.

10/10Wait staff was very helpful with menu recommendations. Food was excellent, great presentation and tasty. A bit too much dressing on the Caesar salad, but that was our only recommendation. Great ambiance. We would definitely go back!
