6.5/10The food was a big disappointment . We had read such good reviews but don’t agree at all. I had partridge in a bowl and my husband ordered a steak. Unknown cut. The partridge was extremely dry and very hard to cut . My husband’s beef, pan-fried . tho medium rare, was barely chewable. The oven baked vegetables were good. My mash potatoes hinted strongly of a freeze dried instant mix. His fries were good. We ate it because we had no option as we are in a hotel. They apologized that we had an unpleasant experience and offered a free dessert. We said no Thankyou and paid the bill. Their last Michelin status of 2021 is a far cry from what we ate last night. Also, oddly, they were out of chicken and dry aged beef. And this was the 7:30 sitting. Past history doesn’t reflect today’s reality in the quality of cooking.

Have been there 3 times in 2 weeks and for a Michelin restaurant very affordable and food was spectacular and well worth the value. If in alcobaca do not miss this restaurant-chocolate mousse dessert save room for. February 24, 2025

I went there with my girlfriend on her birthday. It was a great choice, we had good moments together and we enjoyed a lot the restaurant. There are a lot of options in the menu and to go there just once is impossible. We ate a tomahawk it was delicious.

Food is amazing have been twice in one week. Chicken in the clay pot is excellent along with the lamb croquettes and the Iberian pork wrapped in bacon. Save room if you can for desert the chocolate mousse with salted caramel drizzle. Additionally, the vegetables from the oven are great. We will be back again I’m sure before we leave this area. A Michelin restaurant for multiple years but not with Michelin price. One meal with two side dishes, dessert, entrees and alcohol was only 54 euro for two Our second meal today on Valentine’s Day 2025 included: Small appetizer platter (which was not small by any means), two side dishes (spinach and vegetables) chicken in clay pot , lamb croquettes and a liter of sangria and to finish it off the mousse was just 85 euro for two. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the staff spoke excellent English because sadly the customer does not speak much Portuguese. Everything about this place is 5 star

10/10Quality authentic traditional food. Staff were only too happy to explain and suggest food recommendations and accompanying wine selection. They know what they are doing and have been doing it for a long time. A most memorable dining experience.

3/10The service was ok, but didn’t like this restaurant and won’t be back : The food was horrible … 1) The veal was dry and rubbery and no flavour except very salty 2) The vegetables were greasy and had too many onions 3) The steak was grissly, tough and also very salty The wooden chairs have no cushions and are very uncomfortable …tough to sit on through a whole dinner Overall, do not recommend this restaurant !

10/10A charming and intimate room with superb service and quisine. The wine selection from the various local regions is astounding. We had an excellent bottle of red recommended by our waiter. The charcuterie board was an adventure and the entree was perfect. We just loved our experience at Antonio Padeiro’s.

I have travelled a lot in Portugal and this restaurant is outstanding. The food is delicious and the detour we made was worth it. The prices are a little bit over the portugues average but the quantity and quality of the food is worth every cent. We will definitely come back again and again and recommend it to friends. Very friendly stuff. Congratulations for your work. Thank you for the experience ❤️

I recently dined at Antonio Padreiro in Alcobaca and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was cozy, the service impeccable, and the food was simply divine. I highly recommend it.

10/10Very good restaurant with typical Portuguese dishes. Very popular so necessary to book a table. We were in the basement room. Good atmosphere. Air conditioning was a bit strong; Americans would no doubt feel at home with the air temperature. Highly recommended.

9/10Authentic restaurant with beautiful entourage. The food was delicious especially the chicken in earthen pot an the filet with apple en red port sauce ! We like also Alcobaça a nice town with a beautiful church.

The atmosphere, service, and especially the food were amazing! I ordered the black Iberian pork dish. The pork was very tender, but not too much. It was wrapped in a very thinly sliced ham that had a nice crispness on the edges. The apples were the perfect complement. It came with a rice dish, which was a surprising delight. It also came with fries, which were also good. For dessert I ordered “the sin“. It was just as good as the main course. I also had two glasses of the local white wine. I’m not much of a drinker, but the wine was so good. I had to have a second class. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! I was able to make reservations about 10 minutes before I even showed up.

10/10We loved the restaurant, the food was really good and the service was great. I loved the fact that the dishes and desserts are presented individually to each table, it helps deciding on the best choice and gives more of a welcome feeling, like if we are having dinner at our friends house. I stongly recommend.

10/10This is a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance and food is amazing. Staff are so attentive and know the ingredients of all dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Nazaré. Will be back again….

7/10The restaurant is in a great location. The service and staff was great. If you sit outside, you have a view of the monastery. The sangria was wonderful. The aged T-bone was disappointing, a bit dry and tough. I expected more.

10/10I would highly recommend for an authentic Portuguese dinner. We really enjoyed the baked cod with mashed bread and our server paired it with a wonderful white wine from the Lisboa region. The dessert selection was incredible. Must try the pine nut pie from the nearby monastery!

9.5/10Located in a little street, we found it by chance while looking for options online. The staff was lovely (our server speaks 5 languages!), we ended up following his suggestions and the food was wonderful. We hope to return soon with and bring more people to try it! Thank you for the wonderful evening :)
