We both had different Steaks. beautifuly cooked. The portions are always generous and the food is always tasty and good .

The service is, as ever fantastic, Rui and Theresa know how to make you welcome. The food is simply delicious, always beautifully cooked and presented and then one always has the wonderful duet late in the evening from Rui on guitar and Theresa singing familiar song one can all join in on. It’s hard to beat Gamboa for a really pleasant evening.

I am not sure I can rate this restaurant any higher. The quality of the food is exceptional and the price is amazing. All I can do is recommend you come to this restaurant. I recommend the ribeye steaks, hake and the turbot. You won’t be disappointed.

Have enjoyed many visits to this restaurant over many years. The food is always of a high standard, the staff are excellent & extremely friendly & we always come away having had a really great evening. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

I love this place.

Frozen calamari rings for starter. Sauce on mussels very unpleasant, sea bass fillets okay but very small. Dessert tasteless, tasted old.

Best Sole Meunière I’ve had for a long while! Lovely ambiance out on the terrace and friendly service made it a most enjoyable evening …. Highly recommended

We were made to feel very welcome. The food was fantastic and service was brilliant. To top of the evening they even had entertainment. We can't wait to go back

Fantastic food and friendly service as always. It was very busy, so service was very slightly longer than usual. Love this place.

We love it here! Like a journey back in time to when the best restaurants in the area served great quality food, cooked simply but well, with traditional Portuguese warmth and hospitality (and a lot of humour!) and great value. A welcome change from the overpriced pretentiousness of so many restaurants in VdL, QdL. A must visit if you want to eat great food and not post it on Instagram!
