The evening started very well. The waitress was very attentive. But there became an issue with timing. We were outside in a lovely courtyard. For what seemed a substantial period, no table had any food. I am unsure what was happening but the food took a long long time to arrive. There was an avoidance of communication when tables were clearly expecting food and nothing was arriving. This then put us off ordering a dessert. It’s a shame because I think it could have been a much better experience.

This was our best meal in Italy so far. A last minute find that was close to our hotel and we were so impressed with the food and the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Florence!

Innovative, delicious cuisine in the most beautiful setting. The service was perfect and welcoming. The outdoor garden was so relaxing and the scent of Jasmine extra special. We are so lucky to discover this restaurant only a five minute walk from our home. We will be back!

Excellent food and great service. The server took the time to pair wine to our tastes and meals, and she made excellent recommendations. The garden courtyard was a lovely setting for an evening meal. We felt very welcome by the friendly staff.

I've eaten twice here and both meals were superior. On this visit to Florence, this restaurant has had the best cooking. What makes it work: high quality ingredients beautifully prepared and presented. The pastas are brilliant; love the paccheri with asparagus and the ravioli with burrata. The rabbit was perhaps the best thing I've eaten here. Paccheri is a tricky pasta to get just right: too soon, and the pasta is tough; too late and mush. Here: perfetto! Julia Child was dismissive of Italian cooking: it was for her just throwing stuff into the oven. When that is done well, it speaks for itself, Julia to the contrary!

Exceptional service and quality from this charming little Italian restaurant. My husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the special which was a beef and pork stuffed zucchini, both were delicious. They also offer a great wine selection. The private garden outdoors for dining is a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy your evening.

It’s a very modern clean restaurant. The staff are lovely , polite and knowledgeable. My partner had some pork which was very nice but my aubergine pasta was dreary and tasteless, especially compared to other fab pasta meals I had in Italy . I think this is a restaurant for local people who want to get away from the tourists as in quieter part of town but I wished I had gone somewhere with more excitement Perhaps on the square , that’s my fault , but if you want nice quite good value meal it’s fine

Perhaps we had set our hopes too high based on other reviews but we were very disappointed with the food at Ribeo. We found everything quite bland. Although artichoke is a very subtle flavor, the pasta with artichoke had absolutely no flavor. The steak tartar was served with none of the usual accompaniments such as capers, egg, onion, etc. The liver pate was decent but nothing to write home about. The ambiance, service and wine were outstanding, however.

i am glad you enjoyed our restaurant and service. the tartare is served without exceeding with the condiments just to feel more the flavor of the meat and not cover everything with sauces. our dishes have delicate flavours. if a problem had been reported to us, we would certainly have taken steps to remedy it. Ribeo is a small but perfectly charming bistro. All the food, meat-eaters and veggie found the food to be delicious. Steak tartare was in the opinion of my brother in law the best he’d ever tasted. The liver pate had a true earthiness which was also delicious. The ricotta ice cream was a triumph. The discount was applied without can’t reminder. A very enjoyable evening with gracious and helpful staff. A definite place to return to.

This was quite an experience. The highlight of our day in Florence. This romantic candle light dinner was something else. The courses were superb. We especially recommend the eppetizer fondue and the dissert ice cream (which is a whole different level of an ice cream).

Disappointing having read great reviews. Food spoilt by a lack of seasoning. We had loin od Pork with roasted potatoes. Great atmosphere and good service. Excellent wine.
