7.5/10We went 10 years ago and returned this year. Food fabulous on both occasions. Unfortunately, the proprietors seemingly weren’t aware of our table booking, so we ended up squeezed into a tiny table at the rear next to their serving hatch. Apart from the lack of space the restaurant was great.

7.5/10CASH ONLY!!! The food was pretty good and the service was quick, but they do not take card, even though the listing on Apple Maps says “Contactless payment.” The servers should’ve said something about their machine being broken before we tried to pay with card. It would’ve been a nice experience, but this was unprofessional and could’ve been avoided.

8/10The food was good. Better than average. The portions were huge. Maybe too big for 2 people. The ambience is a bit lacking. Bright lights.

8/10The best meal we had over 10 days in Lisbon. White tablecloth restaurant with modest, but comfortable atmosphere. The grilled grouper was excellent as well as other choices. Great value for the quality!

10/10The only negative thing I have to say about Rio Coura is that their card reader did not work that night, apart from that the meal I had was superb. And it was inexpensive.

10/10A tour guide recommended it. Lovely hidden place. Authentic food. The black pork stripes are to die for. Always locals queueing, waiting for tables with beers in their hand.
