We really enjoy Del Sonno. Elation, the owner, is wonderful and the food solid. The boar stew on polenta was good. The tagliata con funghi porcini was excellent. And, tagliolini al tartufo was excellent as well. The dolce was wonderful, excellent tiramisu and excellent panne cotta. The service could be a little better but was good. All in all, a delightful evening and meal at Ristorante Antico Caffè Del Sonno!

While the kitchen executed the dishes well, and the dining room was comfortable, the waitress was completely unhappy. Efficient, but completely robotic to the point that you didn't want to see her anymore by meal's end. And she felt the same way it seems. (Interestingly, the WiFi was made know by a sign on the reception desk)

Thank you for your note, I'm very sorry to hear that about the wautres, usually she is very friendly and does her job with pleasure, I can imagine there was something wrong with her that night. I will make sure , if you book an other time, to see that a different waitres will serve you.

Unfortunately there were not enough staff working at the restaurant, so they were very slow to bring our order. Several things were forgotten and the pizza was very wet in the middle. Not great.

Have been coming here for 30+years and it has always been our 1st choice. Service from Illario and staff is wonderful and the food is very fresh and tasty. The tiramisu is the best i've ever had! We love it.

Was seated away from the restaurant across from the main building. I was concerned that we would be forgotten and I was right, service was extremely poor. Waited over an hour between starters and mains. The people in the next table came in half an hour after us and appeared to receive more attention as they had ordered steak and not pizza and were served long before us. If the are going to seat customers away from the main dining area they need to ensure the service is up to scratch very disappointing experience

Most likely you wanted to seat far away, or you arrived and there was no tables available. It is not true that customwers with a steak get more attention than customers with a pizza, I can only think that it was one of thos nights when there too many pizza in order and waiting time for pizza is longer.

This was recommended by a friend and I can see why. The owner made us feel like long lost friends. Even though they had a big party in, and the restaurant was full, the service was good, the food was gorgeous and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back
