Continental is a small restaurant and pizzeria in the heart of Perugia’s old city. There’s no pizza at lunch, so we tried the appetizers and pastas. The food was just acceptable, but not enough to make us want to return. Service was decent, but the overall setting felt lacking.

Continental is a small restaurant and pizzeria in the heart of Perugia old city. It offers a quite varied menu and we tried appetizers and pizzas. The quality of food is just acceptable but not worth a second visit. Service is very kind and friendly but the setting is rather shabby. Prices are relatively cheap.

We wanted a simple meal after a long day of travelling and decided to give this little place a try. The owner was so welcoming and friendly, we knew it was just what we needed. Started by getting a bottle of frizzante water & an appetizer: 2 tomato bruschetta + three crostini: one with an olive tapenade, one with mushroom, one with artichoke: all very nice - a good start. Ordered two side salads: VERY fresh, generous (esp for 4 Euros each!) Then a Sicilian Pizza to share, which had just the right cheese, salami, sauce and crust balance. All washed down with a mezzo litro of sparkling white wine. Finally a limoncello for a digestive. Excellent value, very freshly made food, warm welcome, and great prices. We were restored by our meal!

Restaurant a bit off beaten path. Food was ok. Item we wanted to order was “out”, so we ended up with a simple pasta w/meat sauce and an interesting beef cheeks dish. Beef cheeks were good texture but a bit salty. Pasta was bland.
