10/10Had a lovely meal at Don Giovanni in Positano. The food was pretty delicious and beautifully presented, with generous portions. The service was friendly and attentive, and the view made the whole experience even more special. Definitely worth a visit!

We ate at Don Giovanni’s 2 of the 4 nights we were in Positano. The service was top notch, the food excellent and had lovely presentation. The view is beautiful too. The owner came over to our table to make sure all was ok. He said he is the fourth generation owner. There is a hotel attached to the restaurant. It looked nice too. I’d encourage anyone give this place a try! Augustine, Mario, and the rest of the servers will make it worth your while!

They could not have been nicer and attentive. The restaurant’s view is spectacular and the food is prepared with love. All of the dishes were a little different so the waiter showed us pictures of everything and gave us recommendations that were spot on. Salvatore was our waiter and we would highly recommend him and this restaurant!!

10/10We were looking for a restaurant in Positano that had good views, service, food and was walkable from the ferry port. And Ristorante Don Giovanni turned out to be a fantastic choice! It is a short uphill walk from the ferry port and offers stunning views of the ocean and buildings in the cliffs. Also, the service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We had clams with pasta and seafood inside ravioli and both were delicious. The portions were smaller but it was the right amount for us since we also got dessert. Perfect spot for a meal with easy access from the port, an amazing view and excellent service!

9/10we booked the restaurant for its view and it didn't disappoint. small menu for food and wine variety is extensive. 4* for food cos fish was not scaled properly along and could be cooked more flavourful. cod fish is a better choice

10/10This little gem of a restaurant has got excellent views of Positano both of the bay an hilltop. Food is excellently crafted and presented and staff is super helpful, professional and attentive to detail. Definitely worth going but I suggest you book in advance especially if you are visiting during peak season as it tends to get quite busy (restaurant filled up in a matter of minutes)! 5.5/10Wish we would’ve read the other reviews related to the service before we ate here. Yes, views are great but it’s difficult to enjoy it when you’re waiting to order anything (whether it’s food or drinks). We saw our waiter twice the entire time and waited 20 mins to order when other tables seated after us were waited on. My husband never got his drink and we had to flag down 3 different waiters to order a dessert let alone try to get the check. The food was okay/good but nothing to rave about. Yes, we understand how the service is in Europe (for the most part), but this was pretty bad. There’s plenty of other restaurants that have just as good of a view and way better service.

4.5/10One waiter was very pleasant and attentive, and the view was spectacular, but those were the only redeeming qualities. The seafood pasta was bland and tasteless, the peach Baba was soggy and tasted strange, and everything was double or triple the price of other major cities in Italy. Dine elsewhere if flavor is at all important to you.

9/10Breathtaking Positano view with excellent service. Great for enjoying the scenery, photo takings while enjoying food with great service. Food are good overall but pricey (perhaps the same in Positano if you wish to have a stunning view restaurant). Our special thanks to Mr Ricardo, who had taken care of our table very well and leave us a happy impression.

5.5/10We were two couples on holiday. The view is spectacular however you could also admire the view from in front of this restaurant without wasting your money. We found the service to be slow and servers to be unfriendly. Had to request bread several times. Very Limited menu and wine selections. Our meals were underwhelming. Four of us had 3 separate dishes of which none were satisfying. At the end of our meal we were still hungry as the portions were very small. There are many fine restaurants in Positano. Please don’t waste your time, money or experience. We could never recommend this restaurant.

5.5/10Our night was a disappointing one - the restaurant was busy in the fact that every table had patrons but the server forgot our entree and then brought our bill with that entree on it that we never got. Additionally we asked for one bottle of wine and pointed to it on the menu and we were brought a different bottle that was $18 higher. The view was nice but food and view are not worth dealing with bad service.

10/10Such an incredible meal. Our family of 6 (kids 10 to 18) all thought the food.was fantastic. The Tuna Tartar and Salmon cheesecake appetizers were amazing. The Sea bass was light and flavorful and the squid ink Gnocchi was very unique and tasty. Oh, the view is incredible and the service top notch. Highly recommend this gem in Positano.
