We'd been there a few times during our stay in Volterra two years ago. New owners now apparently, but still a wonderful experience. My veal was done a bit too much (still tasty though), but my GF's pasta was nothing short of excellent. And doesn't even matter: the location, atmosphere and kindness of the staff alone is more than worth a visit. Even if it were a McDo I'd recommend it because of this extraordinary garden. 😊

We were there with a larger group of friends for a birthday dinner. We were greeted with the most friendly staff and a chef who knows his craft. He advised us well on the food, educated us and created an atmosphere that was just special. It feels like we came as guests and left as friends. Chef Fabio made sure we had an evening we will never forget. It was a very intimate and personal experience. From the food to the conversations. The restaurant is very well located, so a little stroll before going there is great. And the hidden away courtyard seating is definitely a highlight. I can only recommend going there if you are on the area!

Arguably the best restaurant in Volterra, but our tour guide indicated it was under new ownership. Still excellent meal all around!

The food was delicious although a bit mean with the roast potatoes, 5 small cubes. What let the place down was the slow service, no one wants to rush in a place like that but the chefs needed extra help, waiting over an hour for your foood after ordering is very poor.

We have had two memorable dinners at Enoteca del Duca, one with just 4 adults and the second as family of 10, including teenagers and children under 10 years. The outdoor setting is spectacular. The service was extremely warm and welcoming. The food was fantastic. The highlight was the song "Volare" by Chef Fabio to our 9 year old granddaughter.

Lovely garden, a true hidden gem. Fantastic food, typical Tiscan cuisine, good wines for reasonable prices

We sat in the outdoor area. Very charming beautiful setting. Wait staff was also very friendly. Food was delicious and the price for the quality was pretty incredible especially if you are used to the currently outrageous US prices.

Greeted early and seated immediately, but when we didn’t order the full meal offering, the service almost stopped. We waited 30 minutes for a dessert menu and then another half hour and then finally had to request the bill. The food was good but not amazing. I guess Michelin stars don’t mean much.

Everything was remarkable! This was our last night in Tuscany. We’ve eaten our way across the region and saved this restaurant for last, had we come here first none of our other meals would have come close and our trip would have been a disappointment!! We had a 4 course meal, a bottle of local red wine, a bottle of prosecco, espresso, and limoncello for 4 people for less than €400 at a Michelin restaurant!! Talk about incredible!! The quail dish was perfection, My husband’s veal was beautiful, our friends had beef cheek that was melt in your mouth delicious!

The food was OK but not outstanding. The service was not as attentive as we would expect. A disappointment considering the ‘Michelin’ sign posted at the entrance

Food was wonderful. Complimentary cold truffle soup akin to vichyssoise and at end limoncello. Waiter was distant at beginning warmed somewhat as we ordered. Hostess was charming and won the night. Menu was truffle abundant. Veal filet was top beef entree which was excellent. For Michelin restaurant, pricing was a value.

2nd visit here. Really nice service and food, spoiled by a couple of things. Firstly the trio of pannacotta was watery and that was because there was a pool of water in each ceramic spoon. We’d had it before so it was disappointing compared with our first experience. The waiter and the manager dealt with it well by removing the dishes from our bill. Secondly, the place has quite an echo and a large table of raucous Americans made conversation difficult. Regardless the food was excellent and we enjoyed our lunch. We will be back I’m sure.

This restaurant has top notch gourmet food in a cozy lovely atmosphere. Service was very good and would highly recommend this place for a special lunch or dinner. Right in the heart of the old town of Volterra.

We got food poisoning after eating here. I do not think the quality of the food was up to par with Michelin. A local mentioned this is under new ownership so it sounds like quality went downhill.

Some food was good, the pavlova was grainy and barely edible, but the ravioli was great. The service started off good, but got worse as time went on. Had to flag down the waiter for desert menus after not having anyone stop by for over 20 minutes with an empty table. I ordered an espresso but my dining companion wasn’t even offered a drink with their dessert. That felt kind of weird and worthy of remark.

We were underwhelmed by the food here and do not feel it deserves the Michelin star that it has. Pasta was bland and under seasoned and presentation of all dishes was very basic. Also expensive comparatively. But the outside seating is beautiful.

We were disappointed in our experience when we ate at Del Duca. Two unique dishes in the starter section were not available and the substitutes were very ordinary offerings that we saw on every other menu in every Italian city we'd been in (e.g. caprese salad and tomato bruschetta). The specials were also not unique (e.g. fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms) compared to other menu options. My husband's veal was very good but mine was slightly overcooked. Overall, the food was under-seasoned. Service was good. For the price and Michelin standing, it was not the meal we expected.

Although pretty environment the food and service does not live up to its reputation. The bread put on the table was stale and old, the amuse of potato soup was lackluster, the starter of crispy sausage etc wrapped in phyllo was the best part of the meal as the parpadelle with wild boar was dry and farely tasteless. In fact, I am pretty sure nothing wild ever saw that plate. Dessert of milk pudding with caramel and fruit was just ok. Cannot recommend at this price point.

The restaurant was quiet and lovely. The food was excellent and the staff were fabulous. Would recommend a try. My family each chose a different tasting menu and all were pleased.

Delicious food. Very good front of house with the boss adding a song while dishing up risotto. Lots of lovely truffles with buratta and veal. The pannacotta dessert was a great end to a lovely meal.
