Gentile Signora, Grazie per la bella recensione. Ahimè visto gli stratosferici aumenti del sistema di prenotazione THe Fork ci siamo visti costretti ad inserire una fee a carico del cliente, che in ogni modo trae dei vantaggi dalla prenotazione come sconti o punti fedeltà. Troviamo sia piu onesto segnalarlo esplicitamente sul conto anzichè nasconderlo tra i costi dei piatti come fanno tanti colleghi, spero apprezzi la sicnerità. Per le prossime volte se vuole risparmiare la fee la invitiamo a prenotare sul nostro sito internet. saluti

Service was bad. When the waiter was preparing the antipasti, he touched his watch after putting the gloves, had to fill my own cup every time as they wouldn't notice it's empty (it's a michelin restaurant?), had to wait several minutes after finishing the meal for them to pick up the plate. The rabbit for the main course was a huge disappointment, it tasted like supermarket chicken nuggets. And to end this awful experience, they forgot to add the 20% discount and charged an illegal "the fork comission"... It's a wannabe fine dining restaurant with mediocre food.

Dear Sandro it's sad to read about your experience. We honestly dont understand the meaning of what your said about the gloves and the watch. About the kind of service we give, everybody in the dinning room is kind and attempt to the ecessity of our guests .... we never had waiter penguin sily next to the guest stressing, adding water, wine or similar .... we like to wellcome our guest like in a house, iwe are sorry you didnt enjoy that, ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD WE ARE DISAPPOINTING TOTALLY ... AND IT'S NOT JUST US SAYING THAT BUT THE 99% OF OUR GUESTS. About the commission i explain you ... you are using for free a service like the fork, that means discounts, true rewiews and for sure fidelity points, we dont understand why we have to pay the commission for you ,,, we are just honest to write that on the bill and not just adding some euros on the plates just to cover the fee commissions like someothers do .... regards Il Principe

10/10Beautifully presented dishes, all so tasty. The best lamb I have ever had. A very personal touch is the Chef presenting and serving the main dish. A lovely experience, highly recommended.

+4I’m not one to write reviews, however the journey I have experienced at II Principe was one worth writing about. The flavors, the presentation, the knowledgeable and attentive staff surpassed any restaurant experience I have ever had. The chef was charismatic and personable. We got to experience a new dessert they had just added to the menu, with the presentation alone my senses went on adventure. I truly recommend for anybody out there wanting to take their palate on a rollercoaster.

10/10If you pass up the chance to eat here you will miss a FABULOUS meal! Every bite is exceptional, as the flavors and consistencies blend into a culinary treat you won't experience often. From beginning to ending, the Chef prepares ( and often comes to the table to present) his mastery of culinary art. He creates seasonal dishes from his garden and locally sourced products that make an unforgettable meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 5 stars!!

The food and plating is exceptional, this restaurant is a hidden gem away from the high streets and the archaeological site so it’s very non-touristy. Definitely recommend to anyone who are looking for a fine dining experience after a long day in Pompei!

8.5/10Good food, good service, what would you expect from a fine dining experience. A bit cold in the location and the photographer kept leaving the door open and it was cold inside. Also I got a degustation menu and my gf got an a la carte option and they served us both the same thing which was a bit lazy on their part.

8/10We ordered the blind tasting menu and we were both very happy with that. The quality of food was excellent, the amuse bouche was nice, the artichoke dish as an appetiser was incredible and I'd go back just for that. Really liked the pasta which seemed to have some sort of bisque, my husband not as much. The pork main was really good. We were both a little disappointed with the banana/peanut dessert. We had matching wines also that were lovely. Disappointed that they told us AFTER the meal that the fork 20% off discount didn't apply to the degustation menu, which was most disappointing and felt a little deceptive considering we could have saved 44 euros on that meal. Perhaps it should have been mentioned when we were ordering. Incidentally they bought up the discount, we didnt, so they were fully aware that we would expect the 20% off. Definitely put a damper on the evening.

10/10The food, presentation, and service were excellent. - The finest dinner we had in our week in the area. The waiter selected excellent wine. The chef modified some dishes to accommodate my partner's allergies. If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Pompeii, go here.

10/10I'm SO HAPPY we found Il Principe. There were very few restaurant openings, and we are so lucky we chose this one to celebrate my birthday. The food was insanely good, so special and unique, and the service was outstanding. Every dish had a story that was tied to the culture and history of Pompeii, and everything was delicious. What an experience!!

10/10This restaurant is a real gem. The dishes are works of art both in flavors to excite the senses and also in presentation and beautiful flatware used. The service was excellent even though the dining room was a bit under staffed. Even the chef came out to help a bit. The venue is well designed and very pleasant to spend time in. I would describe it as more of a contemporary design. They definitely deserve a Michelin star but for the moment are only Michelin rated. I do hope they get a star.

Gave 4/5 for atmosphere simply because we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was off season, and not exactly a fault of the restaurant, but still felt strange. Food and service were great. We would definitely come back.

10/10The chef is both ambitious and competent. Contemporary decor in the room and world influences in his food. Well-balanced flavours, creative plate arrangements. All in all, clearly a Michelin star contender. Highly recommended.

10/10Great food, very sophisticated yet satisfying cuisine, each dish has a story behind it and tastes amazing! The restaurant is beautiful, elegant And tasteful interior. Staff is well prepared, friendly and caring. It seemed like we were dining at a Michelin star restaurant. Well done!
