8/10This restaurant is good, nice food, good service and nice environment. But when we receive the bill which was high they pushed us on the bill to add the suggested tip being 10% extra to pay. This is not done.

3/10After a warm welcome, we were very disappointed with the poor service . The starters were wrong, the drinks took a long time to come, we ended up helping ourselves to the wine and the waiter was actually quite intimidating. Sadly, after looking forward to the experience, we came away extremely disillusioned.

3.5/10I had high hopes for our evening at Ristorante Lago which is part of a 5-star L hotel, but unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a series of missteps and mismanagement. Here’s a breakdown of what went wrong during our visit: Overcooked and Undercooked Disasters: We began our meal by ordering a medium-rare ribeye for two. What arrived at our table was a steak that was clearly medium-well, with no trace of pink in sight. When we pointed this out to the manager, he seemed reluctant to acknowledge the error, despite the clear evidence on our plates. It took another manager to finally intervene and offer us complimentary desserts as compensation. Adding to our culinary woes, we ordered two duck breast main courses. While one was cooked to perfection, the other was rare to the point of being cold in the center. Consistency in the kitchen was lacking. An Unwanted Serenade: What was supposed to be a fine dining experience turned into a raucous circus, courtesy of a group of women who decided to join the pianist in a drunken sing-along. This impromptu performance lasted nearly two hours and was loud enough to drown out our table conversation. It was evident that other diners were equally irritated by the disruption. Complication with Compensations: Despite the offer to comp our steak due to the cooking mishap, the bill only reflected a complimentary gelato, not the full range of desserts we had. This required yet another uncomfortable conversation with the staff to correct the oversight. Coat Check Chaos: The restaurant's handling of our coats and umbrellas was another point of contention. We discovered that two of our umbrellas were missing upon leaving. The front desk handed us two random, wet umbrellas that clearly belonged to someone else. This lack of organization was disappointing and inconvenient. A Closer Look at Dysfunction: As we exited, we witnessed the manager yelling at the chef through the kitchen window, a sight that didn't inspire confidence in the establishment's professionalism. The chaos didn’t end there; outside, a hotel guest was shouting from their second-floor window at the same group of drunken women who had moved their loud antics to the hotel entrance.

10/10We are on a wonderful trip to Europe and rented a home in Menaggio Lake Como. We are foodies and this place didn’t disappoint. We are here for another 4 days and probably will go back. The food and service was impeccable!

10/10We loved it!!! Great food, beautiful location, fabulous service!!! So glad we got to have lunch here. We’re staying at the hotel and it was certainly easy but we’d have come here anyway!!!

10/10We ate at this restaurant one night and were so impressed we made reservations for the following evening. We enjoy great food, good ambience, good service, and a good vibe. All boxes checked. A definite “go to” restaurant!!

10/10Really elegant and high-end hotel in Menaggio - the service was impeccible, it almost felt like we had a different member of staff for every thing; someone to bring cutlery, another to bring food, another to bring drinks, another to explain the menu. We were looked after really well and the food really was to a high standard. My one gripe would be that although the food and service was amazing, I don't think the price was justified e.g. pizzas, mocktails and a bottle of water costing 25, 18 and 9 euros respectively. Nonetheless would recommend for a beautiful dinner.

10/10Fantastic restaurant! Food, staff, and service all extraordinary! Ambience was so lovely. In the grand hotel Victoria in Menaggio and quite a five star surprise. Even the valet parking was perfect! Will definitely go back again and I highly recommend this place for a great meal!

10/10This was one of the best dining experiences we have had around Lake Como. First of all, the hotel is stunning and has the best service I’ve experienced. That translates to the restaurant. Service is impeccable and the food is outstanding (pizza is fantastic). This is Michelin star quality across the board. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have one soon. We also got the best seat in the house (corner view of the lake). 10/10. Must visit.

2/10We arrived at 8.30pm for our meal. Did not receive our main course until 10.30pm - after complaining. Turns out there was a problem in the kitchen, which they should have told us about. Main courses were not edible so all of us did not eat them. The manager did all he could to try to rectify this - he took all the main courses off the bill and gave us the desserts for free (these were very delicious). Would not recommend. This was the worst meal of our holiday, and the most expensive venue to eat in.

10/10Everything was wonderful. Fabulous food and service. The only correction i would give is that one of us is vegetarian, which we expressed to trhe server, yet they brought us a non vegetarian pre starter appetizer. Otherwise, excellent food, service, and ambience. We highly recommend.
