Always delicious food and nice service. We love the sardinian specialities.

The pizza and starters we ordered were nice, however the service was not very attentive. Although the staff was very friendly, they walked past our table several times without taking the order while we tried to get their attention. Which also happened when we tried to pay. The staff seemed quite young/unexperienced which may have been the problem.

The restaurant is deceptively large. We had to constantly catch the eye of the waiter to order everything, At no point did they anticipate our needs,. As the whole place was busy it would take 10 minutes to be able to get their attention and then another 40 minutes to get an order delivered to our table. The food wasn’t spectacular, I ordered tagliatelle fungi, but it was under seasoned and no extra Parmesan was brought to the table. It was all a little average.

Amazing service, excellent food, great prices. Highly recommended and for sure one of the best restaurants in Leiden.

We came a bit early and were asked to wait for a couple of minutes. This was completely fine, as we were early. Our table was ready soon and they brought us too it. Staff was friendly. We were thirsty and got something to drink and ordered our dishes soon as well. When the dish came my glass was empty and my partner's was as good as empty, but the waiter didn't ask if we wanted to drink something. It was a bit difficult to get the attention of the staff so we just let it go. My lasagna was good, but my partner had gnochetti. It seemed like the pasta was still a bit too hard and we both didn't really like the taste. Was a shame. My partner didn't even finish his plate, which was a first time. So that is why it was a bit disappointing. But the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly! :)

Really nice selection of food and great quality, good prices, helpful staff, and a surprisingly large selection of wines to choose from - this is a great place for a night out to dinner in Leiden! 100% recommend!

We especially recommend the pasta dishes. They are authentic and made with refined ingredients.

Only because some friends wanted to go there I went again. Of course I stayed away from the Ravioli I had last time; I ordered pizza - which was delicious as always. Only downsides were the fact that no one welcomes/says farewell when you enter/leave, we weren't asked if we wanted another beverage and no one asked how the food was while we were eating.

As always great food and very friendly service, but it was exceptionally warm inside.

Although Karalis is one of my favourite Italian restaurants my main course was disappointing (ravioli). I had to sent it back 2(!) times because it wasn't hot when it arrived, luckily we didn't have to pay for it. The waiting time was also quite long and the waitress didn't ask whether we would want another drink - even though all glasses were empty (for 20+ minutes). The starters, other main courses and desserts were all great and the staff friendly (but slow)! Fortunately I had a good time with family so didn't mind waiting longer for the food. A bonus was that we ate with the Iens 50% off deal, so it was money well spent.

Always a great and friendly service along with very good quality food. Also for a non-cheese lover, there is a pizza without it! A MUST among the italian restaurants in Leiden.

I'm coming here for years and years, and among me and my friends, we joke about "the best pizza outside of Italy". I am usually unable to have anything but pizza with this overwhelmingly wonderful smell on entering the place, always makes me crave even when only passing by! I do dislike the amount of dried oregano a bit (whenever I forget to un-order it) and the slightly oily appearance of the pizza (potentially due to the sort of cheese?) but it cannot stop me from enjoying it to the max! Therefore, I have tried 2 pasta dishes only - I highly appreciate the Carbonara being made without cream, only the bacon was probably no pancetta, unfortunately. Tortellini alla panna lovely! I've had the mixed salumi as antipasto and was happy, too, same applies to the vitello tonnato (maybe a tiny little bit too creamy/mayonnaisy the sauce). They have pens and to-be-coloured placemats for kids and I am always quite happy with the service! They even give me the feeling of being a special guest to them. Most of them speak Italian. Bit of a minus to the atmosphere - since they're usually pretty booked, it is really loud there most of the time, and the rooms are fairly large. The interior is nothing special but not bad either, and in the back room, there sometimes is a very slight note of mud in the air (room is not used/ventilated all the time I believe). Well, after all, I come here to eat the fantastic pizza most of the time, none of this really affects me! The pizzas are more expensive than one would be used to around the lake of Garda in Italy, but not at all high compared to the local price level. One can eat and drink for under 15,-€ here (kids for 10,-€ with a dish, a cup of ice cream and a drink). A 0,75l bottle of San Pellegrino is 4,75€. Bottom line - I am quite happy here and will continue to come back (could go right now actually *drool)! Thank you everyone there for this food (and service)! You guys have a huge fan!
