5.5/10We (as a couple) had two different pasta meals plus a pizza. The pizza was okay, it could have been a little bit more tastier. Especially the pastas were not really tasty. With the Canelloni they didnt use Parmiggiano Ceese or similar. It seemed to be any dutch cheese or even a kind of mozarella. The penne tasted really salty but not very tasty. Maybe some herbs would help. All in all not what we of an italian restaurant expected.

9/10It was "the best" Italian restaurant we've ever been in Rotterdam since we arrived from Japan. All rhe dishes including desserts tasted so good that we're sure to re-visit here. All the staff were really attentive and friendly, in particular the lady who was in charge of our table. Her English was perfect and easy to understand for expats like us.

10/10You cant just have the fetucini here once, I am going back for the same pasta again. Traditional Lasagna was also very well prepared and tasteful.

10/10This is the second time se has dinner at Messina and the food both times has been amazing, specially de pasta with truffle. The service is algo very good. Definetely worth trying and will come back for sure.

10/10Totally brilliant find! We wanted an authentic Italian meal and got exactly that - with the bonus of a really lovely atmosphere. The host and staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious!

10/10The food at Messina is amazing. We had dinner and we could hace not enjoyed it more. The parmiggiana as starter was really good but the main courses (linguine gamberi and tagliatelle tartuffo e fungi porcini) were spectacular, specially the second. Really yummy. The service was also really good and has a good quality-price relation. We will come back!

10/10Giovanni is a world class host, he make you feel welcome every time. The high lights are the seasonal dishes that go from fresh fish till seasonal game if you don't find anything on the menu ask him for something special and you will not be let down. You can get an extraordinary osso buco, or a truffel pasta to die for. If you not in the mood for fancy go for a pizza or calzone you will be back for more. I go there to feel a bit of Italy in Rotterdam.
