JC our Maitre was the perfect host. The food was very good. I had the lamb who was quite tasty my wife had a octopus ragú pasta quite good too. The wines were good.

The primo piatti was very good (Pasta scampi). The secundo piatti was a bit disappointing (baby chicken was dry and overcooked and the grilled vegetables were too spicy).

We were made very welcome by the staff our waitress helpfully speaking in English explaining the menu. She made recommendations and encouraged us to try a traditional desert which we discovered was delicious.

This is a wonderful spot right on the piazza San Marco. We made reservations for 8:30 pm. The waiter was warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal—pasta, caprese salad and fabulous‘Picasso’ pizza. The ambience was lovely. I enjoyed the old music.

The staff are very welcoming, the decor is vintage, I love that the lighting is not so harsh, and when I don't quite understand the difference between things, they are patient to help me describe and recommend, great dining experience!

Very creative and delicious menu items. Great ambience. We sat out front but they’ve got a lovely back garden as well. Good value!

Restaurant is beautiful. Modern but with Tuscan charm. We were served by 3 different waiters, all were very kind and warm. However service was extremely slow. We only ordered pizzas and waited nearly an hour for them. We don’t mind waiting for food but once we were finished immediately asked for the bill and mentioned the fork discount- this never arrived and the waitress started cleaning multiple tables around us instead. Another waiter came to our table and we asked for it again, he bought us the bill without the discount. We explained and he was very gracious and went to rectify it but did not come back for a while. It took us more than 20 minutes to get the bill. I should also mention that a few of the tables around us were empty so the restaurant was not especially full or busy.

I love the fantasy they put in meals, but charge 3 EUR for half of a liter of tap water is insane.

Fantastic restaurant. Spent 9 nights in Florence, ate there three evenings. Can't be beat in Florence

This place is fantastic! Food, people, ambience absolutely perfect. Took the family one night. A romantic evening two days later with another great experience. Leaving Florence on Wednesday Tuesday night will be a good-bye dinner to Florence at Ristorante Retro. I wish I could take the place back to Florida with us.

Attentive service, music volume just right, extras such as amuse guesses, prosecco and chocolates were an unexpected delight. Special Easter menu was delicious. They accommodated dietary restrictions. The food was delicious.. Would return in a heartbeat.

The food is just super delicious and inventive. You taste all the flavors you expect from Italy. Sauces are very light and balanced. You feel that they use the best quality ingredients. Food is served just in time. They offered me free Prosecco, free coffee and free lemon liquor. The waiters just enjoy serving you and making you feel the best.

This place was AMAZING!!!! Smart and clever Italian! The decor was almost as nice as the cuisine. The tartars were the best I’ve ever had, a clever pumpkin and pepper flan, and the dinner- fish that was so flaky and tender (and I can’t forget the pasta! Tortellini in the most delightful broth). Thank you to you and your staff for bring us a wonderful experience and making this Christmas Eve somehow even more special!
