The service was excellent and the maître d’ a well cultured and helpful source to choose the best meal based on the season. A great choice in central Bologna.

Two visits to this restaurant on our holiday here in Bologna and two fantastic experiences. Great food and friendly service, and a nice hustle about the place!

Menu and reviews looked good so we booked. It was a Monday so not overly busy. Came early but no problem for them. The weather was getting cool so they put us in the “window”, so we had fresh air AND some heat. Added bonus…..we didn’t have to worry about the street merchants. Excellent service, with friendly staff. We were both craving pasta and bingo, just what the doctor ordered. Both dishes were very tasty and filling. We had a side dish of fennel/arugula salad which was large and shared. A perfect accompaniment. A very nice evening. We’d definitely go back

everything was good so far. another danish couple had the table next to us. they were offered spezials from the kitchen, amo octopus and meat simmered in wine. on top of that some sepcial wines from outside the card. we had a genuine Italian meal with some 2. class white wines. WHY? br Claus

Very tasty food in a relaxed environment. Reasonable prices. Nice location on a busy street. I had the ravioli which was stuffed with cheese and it was really good. Using The Fork app you can get a nice discount. I could not figure out how to pay using the app, however, but that is a minor issue and not the restaurant's fault.

We were seated outside, which should have been indicated to us in advance, having in mind it's the end of December..We had to sit with our coats on, regardless of the heating lamps. Food is OK.

The staff was friendly. There was an English explanation on the menu, and the wine recommended was delicious

My wife is a foody and I'm a wine lover. We had a really enjoyable meal and overall experience at Roberto Bristrot. Francesco was a joy to talk to about our meal and wine options. He actually escorted me to where they kept their wine and talked me through their wine list between Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti and Barolo. I went with his Barolo recommendation and both my wife and I really enjoyed it. We each had a pasta primi course (mine was Spaghetti al promodoro and hers was Tortellini in parmigiano sauce). For both dishes, the pasta was hand made and the sauces were delicious. For secondi we shared their special of the day, which was marinated beef tenderloin, cooked rare and sliced thinly. It was fantastic. Every dish was way too much food and we took a lot home for lunch the next day. The service was first class and very personal, the ambiance in the Quadrilateral area was incredible, and we just really enjoyed the experience! Thanks especially to Francesco!

My wife and I really enjoyed this little restaurant in beautiful Bologna. We are off menu and are really happy that we made that choice. Fabulous food, wine and service. Thank you to Francesco for your fabulous hospitality. A big thank you to the chef for the excellent flavours and presentation.

As a family from Scotland on holiday with a toddler, evening dinner can be difficult but the team at Roberto's were so friendly and kind and wonderful with my 3 year old son. Top marks for that never mind the incredible food. Every one of us had delicious meals, highly recommend for a special evening.

Outstanding meal in the Quadilatero. Great food. Great service. Fresh, imaginative cuisine that leveraged local produce, meats, cheeses and wines

To expensive for what you get. It’s a tourist trap. The quality of the food although is more than average. The wine waitress was professional, the other one still has to learn how to serve properly.. it’s a strange place…… the menu gives you the expectation to be in a “ better” restaurant but then you have the relatives( or friends) of the owner sitting and yelling throug loudly with the owner.

Nice and friendly staff. We went for dinner. Really good food and moderate price for bologna tourist area.

Amazing location and cozy atmosphere. The food was great, the service was fast and people were really nice. The price is not cheap, but normal for the center of Bologna who offer that kind of food. For me it was a great experience, a relaxing sunday lunch with my lover, so I definitely recommend the place!

Small portions, very small menu. Food is average. Staff is not very helpful. Location is an only advantage.
