Food was good. Ambiance was so cute. Lacked in the service department though. Our waiter almost acted upset when we didn’t want to order an appetizer. And then I had to ask for the check multiple times before he brought it.

I was charged for things I didn’t order ($60 worth), denied a refund by a manager, and disrespected/belittled by staff. Extremely disheartening to be treated this way and cheated out of my money

We visited Rocco for dinner during our stay in Lisbon, and I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The decoration and overall ambiance are absolutely stunning. From the impressive entrance bar to the elegant dining room, the atmosphere immediately draws you in and makes you feel immersed in the experience. We chose seafood dishes, and all of them were exceptionally delicious and beautifully prepared. The kitchen truly delivers in terms of quality and flavor. Unfortunately, the sommelier’s unnecessary and somewhat offensive jokes negatively affected our evening. Instead of making uncomfortable remarks, focusing on recommending wines according to guests’ food choices would create a much more enjoyable and refined experience. I sincerely hope the management addresses this, as the restaurant itself is definitely worth visiting.

Rocco is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderfully different vibe in each room. The ambience is terrific , all the staff were courteous, our server was excellent. To top it all, the food was cooked to perfection and delicious.

One of our favourite restaurants in Lisbon. Outstanding starters, tasty and beautifully prepared main dishes, an excellent and wide-ranging wine list, and truly terrific desserts. All delivered by a professional, friendly team. Absolutely top-notch!

Food is not up to par for what the restaurant aspires to be. The saltimboca was overdone and excessively salty, the lemon merengue seemed more like a store bought birthday cake. Incredibly disappointing, especially given the amazing ambiance. The whole experience was conducive to an animated discussion at the table on how what passes for high-end aspirations these days in Lisbon are mostly thinly disguised monetization exercises, with no passion or craft put into the food itself. There are numerous better options for real Italian food in Lisbon.

After many years visiting Rocco at Lisbon Chiado area, and always having a good time both in the bar and the restaurant alike, I must say that this weekend was a big disappointment. Confused staff at the reception made us waiting to be seated unnecessarily (with reservation). We chose the season white truffle menu for lunch. Nice mushroom and asparagus starter, then the second was tagliatelle with truffles, which was served without truffles, so the confused service was now in the restaurant. As a main we had the veal with truffles. Inedible! Served cold without any seasoning. We sent it back. Kudos for the lady sommelier, who proposed a very good pairing Barolo wine.

Rocco in Lisbon makes a strong impression from the moment you walk in, with its luxurious and striking décor — something still quite rare in the city. The service is impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and the quality and flavor of the dishes are truly outstanding, fully in line with what one expects from a high-end restaurant. However, there is one aspect that requires urgent attention: the background music. Both the style and, especially, the volume felt more appropriate for a restaurant in the Docas area than for an establishment that presents itself as sophisticated. The excessively loud music disrupted the overall experience and clashed with the otherwise elegant atmosphere and excellent cuisine. In a restaurant that charges premium prices, details like this cannot be overlooked.

The food was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster. When we arrived, the two ladies at the front desk were talking and didn’t bother to stop or welcome us. After being seated, it took around 15 minutes for someone to come to our table just to bring water. The staff seemed much more focused on serving a table of eight nearby. Throughout the meal, we were approached by about five different servers. Only two of them were genuinely friendly; the others had a noticeably bad attitude. Overall, the experience with the service did not match the quality of the food or the atmosphere.

Food was good but we had better for less in Portugal. The waiting staff were very pushy about upselling your dinner. Trying to get you to buy champagne as soon as you arrive and suggesting you change your wine choice to one triple the price. We were waited on by several servers. One was very nice. The others were what I would describe as snooty. After paying the bill and returning to our accommodations we noticed they charged us 32 Euros for desserts we did not have. The place is very glamorous but the bar on the upper level (street level) reeked of sewer gas that was wafting in from the street. The clientele vibe seemed to consist mostly of people who came to be seen rather than to see. Save your money….you can get a better experience for a lower price.

This was quite an exuberant and top tier dining experience! Loved the decor, service and live music. I didn’t hit a home run with my wine selection or appetizer but I would be open to visiting again!

Food was not good a tourist trap honestly. Over priced and not worth it. Pretty restaurant good service nice people who work there. Overall not worth the trip there is way better Italian food in the area.

From the moment we walk in the door with the amazing interior and the exceptional service this restaurant is by far our favourite restaurant while we were in Lisbon. Would highly highly recommend to anyone going to Lisbon it would be a must for us when we return.
