Lovely welcoming ambience, great informative wine chat and lovely food - totally recommend. We enjoyed a red wine that we’d never normally chose, the advice about the wine was fab, the feel of the place is lovely, very chilled and relaxing. Loved the steak, the potatoes, and ALL the cheeses!

10/10Went there with my girlfriend, both of us loved the food, it is a very nice tapas like concept with Portuguese food, loved it, the wine was also amazing Plus Matthew was amazing with us, very friendly and easy to talk to 😊 Highly recommend

Rolha was recommended to us and just WOW! It didn’t disappoint. Parking was very easy, we had a fabulous table and tried some of the local wine recommendations, which were great.. now the food! Where do I start, I’m still trying to pick my favourite dish and I honestly can’t... they have a standard menu with restaurant specialities and then a weekly specials menu… all small plates so perfect for sharing and trying different things. The dishes were 10/10 and more - we tried the tomato salad, prawns, pork, piri piri quail and the fishcakes. The house tomato butter honestly rivals Tom Kerridge’s marmite butter - OUTSTANDING! Our dinner was perfectly finished off with a lovely coffee and the dessert!! Can’t wait to come back.

Rolha is totally on form again this year: lovely laid-back ambience, outstanding and authentic petiscos (just order the whole petiscos de semana menu - everything is interesting and delicious), and a carefully curated wine list from small producers across all of Portugal, many making wines with minimal interventions. There is a good selection by the glass so you can try various styles - pet nat, amphora, palhete. Ask Matthew and Joe for their recommendations. We look forward to returning in the summer.

10/10This is an absolute gem. Tucked away in the cobbled streets of Porches, everything is a delight - the location, the warm welcome, the wine selection and the seasonal tapas. Highly recommended.

8/10Our group of four had a very pleasant evening. As two are pescatarian the menu was quite restrictive but most enjoyable. The plate of cheeses was very small though and a broader choice of sweet dishes would complete the meal.

10/10Once we discovered the Rolha Wine Bar it became a favourite place to eat. We ended up there 3 times. The food is original and tastes excellent. Individual dishes have weird prices that do not appear logical in relation to the actual food item. But at the end the overall price seemed reasonable. Wine is expensive - we think they should offer a reasonably priced House Wine as well as the top quality local and regional specials.

10/10We had a wonderful experience at Rolha Wine Bar, it’s a beautiful restaurant with amazing quality customer service. Matt and Joe the owners were very professional and clearly know how to run their restaurant. If you’re looking for a unique and romantic experience this is definitely the place to go. The food was delicious. We had a taster menu, which we told them do whatever you like, and we had such tasty food. Presented very beautifully also. We definitely will come back again.

10/10Beautiful flavours and well prepared small plates! We especially loved the pastéis de bacalau, pica-pau pork and piri-piri quail! The owner was so lovely, he gave us great tips for places to visit. we throughly enjoyed our meal and time at Rolha!

+2I have been hearing about this spot from EVERYONE.... I love it. I finally got the opportunity to get there with a friend visiting from America. and I want to live there, drink wine, and eat the Pork cheeks. Put your faith in the staff and let go .... best decision evah!

Rolha is a special place run by enthusiasts, serving authentic and delicious Portuguese petiscos - small plates - and a fascinating and changing range of low-intervention wines from small producers across the country. Ricardo is a great host and delights in carefully explaining both the wines and the foods.
