5/10The wait staff were all very kind and friendly, but that's where the positive comments end. Service took extremely long, even by European standards (it was about an hour before our appetizer even came out). The appetizer we wanted (which cost about €25) wasn't available that evening, so the waiter recommended the Buffalo Mozz, Tomato and Ham special. It was a fairly basic dish, and enough to feed 2-4 people; something that would cost $15-25 in the US, depending on the type of restaurant. We were shocked when the bill shows they charged €50! For a $6 ball of cheese with some tomato slices and a couple strips of ham. We advised the waiter that they really need to explain how much that dish is when recommending it, especially as a substitute for an option half its price. Other than that, the premium you pay is for the rooftop view, but the restaurant opens at 7:30; it's pitch black out half the year. There was nothing to see. The food was nothing special. It took forEVER. Don't bother.

10/10Wonderful evening. Fabulous food. Only let down was slow service in American Bar and minimal interaction by disinterested bar staff. Totally different to the quality of the restaurant staff who were, as always, superb.

10/10The restaurant is stunning and has a terrific view, I would highly surges going early to have a drink at the upstairs cocktail bar. The food was great, and the Staff was exceptional. We were with a group of 18 of all different ages and everyone was extremely satisfied with the overall experience. It is very hard to book something online site unseen, but I assure you Roof Garden will not disappoint.

This restaurant has a pretty, old-fashioned interior with a retro-Italian vibe. Service was okay. The quality of food is good, however the taste itself is average - you don’t need to expect an unforgettable gastronomic adventure here. As for the view, it’s great, but I highly recommend to come for a dinner rather than in the evening, as the restaurant’s halls do have a lot of lights so their reflection in windows makes it more difficult to see something outside.

10/10I’ve tried to get a reservation numerous times on short notice visits. Spectacular view; we had a table at edge so our view was perfect. Service, food were outstanding. Highly recommend and prices reasonable. The view from the upper roof bar are even more amazing!

10/10Fabulous memorable Rome evening!! Amazing view over the Forum & white “Wedding Cake” 💕from our table on the Terrace at tgr Roof Garden in the Hotel Forum, building dates back to 1600’s. ! Personable wonderful matre’d & serving staff; excellent English & meal descriptions. Excellent food & presentation. Will come again when in Rome. Primi pati Pasta portions enough for 2. Best tasting acqua frizzante I had in Italy & one of best dinners in Rome!

10/10I can't stress enough how wonderful this place is! Perfect locatiom right next to the Colosseum, spectacular food and simply the best service I've ever had (I can't recall the name of the gentleman that served my table, but he offered to take a picture of me there since I was by myself, he even held one of the lamps just to help me get a good picture!). Try going right before the sunset, it's worth the view. After finishing your dinner you should try the rooftop bar, the drinks are expensive but the setting is mesmerizing, also quite small so it isn't too crowded or noisy. Best food I've had in Rome, please just make yourself a favor and give them a visit!

10/10It was late on a Monday night for dinner. So not busy and yet the waitstaff were as attentive as expected, but not intrusive. They made excellent recommendations. The filets could be cut with a fork and the turbot was delicate and delicious. The pasta superbly prepared! The oysters were fresh as well! It was expensive but well worth the 5 star service and food. Plus the amazing view!

10/10We had such a magical time having lunch at this restaurant. The view over the Forum ruins is breathtaking and that really would’ve been enough but then the food was delicious with very generous portions and to top it off, the best part was truly the service. The entire staff was so sweet and welcoming, we never wanted to leave. We made a sincere new friend in our wonderful waiter Rino. He will be among our favorite moments in Rome!

10/10Our last night in Rome, we had an amazing dinner at the Roof Top Restaurant at the Forum Hotel. Under a full moon, it was a magnificent way to celebrate a terrific family trip to Rome. The service, food, ambience and view was magnificent.
