The view from the Rothorn, inside or outside is spectacular ! Best view of the Matterhorn / Alps - bar none. The food is absolutely delicious. Simple tomato soup - to die for. Super fresh salads with greens and veggies that are tempting to your nose as well as your palate. A tagliatelle with boar ragout that would make your grandmother jealous and a perfect diavola pizza that leaves New York pizza pie makers scratch their heads in wonder. I’ve been 10 times in five years and I’m going back Friday to make it eleven. These guys just know how to make quality food. Probably the best Italian food on the mountain or for that matter, Zermatt. Go enjoy !

We had an unforgettable experience at Rothorn Ristorante. The setting alone is incredible, but the food truly exceeded expectations. Every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. You can tell there’s real pride and passion in the kitchen. But the thing I’ll remember most isn’t just the food — it’s our server. Traveling all the way from California, the experiences that stay with me aren’t only the views or the meals, but the people I meet along the way. Our server was genuinely one of the coolest people we’ve come across on our travels. Professional yet relaxed, knowledgeable yet completely down-to-earth — He made the whole experience feel personal and special. We loved Rothorn Ristorante so much we came back twice.

I tried to call the restaurant 20 times and only one time I got an answer. I wanted to organize something special for an anniversary but was not possible because of the impossibility to discuss with someone. Does not make any sense to have a telephone number without giving an answer.. The place, the restaurant and the service was very good and we all appreciate it.

Definitely put this on your list of lunch spots while in Zermatt! Easy to get to for non-skiers and skiers alike, it offers sublime views and a delicious meal.

One of our favorite on-mountain meals – beautiful, clean and new building (great bathrooms!) with wonderful pizza and salads. Everything on the menu looked inviting, so we'll look forward to trying something else on another visit. We came on a snowy day, so missed the no-doubt gorgeous views. Easy access for skiers and non-skiers alike via the gondolas and tram up from Sunnega. Worth a visit!

Miserable service, rude and un attentive. The food was mediocre. The ambience was good, but not outstanding given the areas standard for ambience.
