I had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant one year ago. As a result, this year, I returned. The meal started brilliantly with baby eels, and then partridge and white bean stew. The next course was a huge disappointment. The pappardelle itself was very good, but the "white truffle" was in a measly quantity, more black than white, with no aroma or taste. This was all the more egregious considering the price. By way of comparison, I had taglioni with white truffle at Gioia in Madrid the previous evening, a truly white truffle in copious quantity, with a gorgeous aroma and taste. I asked the waiter for Spanish cow cheese, and was shown first a goat cheese, then a sheep cheese. When I mentioned these two problems to the manager, instead of solving the problem, smoothing things over with the customer by making a gesture, and properly managing his staff, he reversed the situation and started agressively attacking the client. I terminated the lunch at that point.

It is hard to believe that this restaurant even was rewarded with a Michelin star, the food was average at best, and the service seemed chaotic with no coordination between the service staff. I would not recommend it to anyone!

Everyone at 'Saddle' know their craft extremely well. The food is fresh and flavoursome. The service is efficient and professional. The dinning room ambience is welcoming. Of the three Michelin star restaurants we visited in Madrid, this was the best. Congratulations !.

To start with it was a 60th birthday treat for my darling wife. Decor, friendliness, attentiveness, service, food and wine as expected from a Michelin establishment. Beyond that the team were clearly enjoying what they do and they worked seamlessly to deliver. Highly recommend Saddle.
