10/10The food was incredible! The chef and manager were both very kind & everything we ordered was very tasty. The lasagna was the best lasagna I’ve ever had! And we had great Poffertjes at the end of the meal as well. I highly reccomend St Paul’s lounge and cafe for dinner, and a great ambiance and experience.

9/10the host was extremely friendly and hospitable. confirmed the appointment and made sure all our needs were met. the french onion soup was amazing, the steak tasted good but lacked some seasoning. french fries weren't on par with the french fries vendors, not really a big issue but it felt like a downgrade after the ones we had in the street. summary is it what a nice experience for a nice restaurant in a good spot with friendly staff and good food.

3.5/10No idea why this place has such good reviews.. mediocre at best. Friendly staff and fairly quick service but if I hadn’t gotten the 50% Fork discount and had kids with me that only likes basic food I would have left very disappointed.. the food/menu is very plain. Dutch old school bar food with no frills or joy. Nothing seems made from scratch, condiments in sachets like in fast food places, very dirty salt/pepper grinders on the tables and yeah, it’s a tourist restaurant I guess. Struggled to choose anything on the very boring menu and settled for burgers. Was ok, very few vegetables and very little fries to go with and again, super basic. And if no discount very high prices.

We’ve had a very nice experience. The food was very good. Me and my partner had hutspot and goulash. The goulash meat was really tender, and the hutspot was better than I would make it at home. The portions were of a good size, leaving us with our stomachs filled well.

The owner Johan was so welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious! I had the mussels which were such a generous portion that I couldn't finish them all. They were excellent. Came with a fresh and delicious salad. My husband had the steak, cooked to perfection, and my son had the ribs, also a generous serving and delicious! The fries were also really crispy and tasty, perfect! Don't miss the traditional dutch split pea soup, which we shared as a starter. The chef Mo cooked everything perfectly. We had a fun time. The location was centrally located by the Nieuwe kerk, food was delicious and owner Johan was so hospitable. We highly recommend for a superb meal and fantastic Dutch eatery experience! Thank you Johan! We will definitely be back next time we are in Amsterdam!
