9.5/10Yum yum yum. Slightly away from the main roads, but amazing food. We ate the sushi burger, ceviche gunkan, mango rolls and spicy tuna tostada.

9/10The Japanese food was excellent. We had prawn tempura (the batter was perfect!), and steamed gyoza. The margaritas were also very good. Unfortunately, the mexican food was disappointing. We shared the fajitas, the food was only like-warm, and the dips tasted like they were not freshly prepared. We would go back for the Japanese and margaritas, but not for the Mexican food.

5.5/10I expected better sushi. The tempura wasn’t crispy enough and the roll was falling apart. Also the order took more than 40 minutes to arrive and it was just two rolls.

Unagi didn't taste fresh, but the tuna was good. I had the Spicy Love roll. It was fine. A little confused about the rating, this isn't a place to recommend, just a place to go to.

9/10We've been to Madrid four times and Sakale is just another little reason we keep coming back. Great food, great vibe, and at a super price. WE just love it and it hasn't let us down.

3.5/10The service was good but the food isn’t in the level I was expecting, I have some food restrictions and had really hard time ordering but the service was good and they helped me find nice options.. when the food arrived it was pretty bed tbh I couldn’t really eat it at all.

4.5/10The restaurant has a very instagramable environment and in a pretty nice location. We were enticed to come by the positive reviews this place has. Unfortunately for the price of the food and what you get, I don't think it is worth the hype. There are plenty other better asian fusion restaurants and more authentic asian restaurants in Madrid. The biggest dissapointment was that the food arrived at our table cold and we had to send back the gyozas. The staff were very kind about the situation though and didn't charge us for it and gave us a wakame salad free. Overall though, not a very nice dining experience and probably won't be returning.

7.5/10Very good food, tasty and relatively filling. The ambience is also good, comfortable and attractive, but a little noisy, but it's not the restaurant's fault, it's the customers' fault, who are very loud. Prices are reasonable considering Japanese restaurants are not cheap.

4/10This resturant was disappointing given the hype of the reviews. It had a bad damp smell downstairs, also not anything close to real sushi. It’s an American take on sushi with a bunch of mayo and deep fried rolls. Fish quality was just OK. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place gained popularity being “IG worthy”. Presentation looked nice, but the flavors were just not there. I would not recommend this place.

7/10Incredible food and ambiance, the only thing that leaves a bittersweet taste is the treatment of the staff. They seem to resent having to provide service. If not for that, I would give them at least a 9/10.

8/10I read amazing reviews of the place and while it was decent, it wasn’t amazing. I dined alone and I got kind of ignored. If you can’t share plates you don’t have many options to try multiple things. It’s innovative but could be better.

5/10Overpriced food Atmosphere, service and food at Sakale is ok, but not at the current price point of the menu, especially given the price/quality at at most alternatives. 17.50 for most 8 piece rolls is too much. 10 euro for a cocktail could be ok, but not if almost no alcohol is used.

9.5/10A great new discovery, which we will go to again and again during our frequent trips to Madrid. A charming, small place run by a terrific group of guys who appear to all be expatriates from South America. It is a wonderful fusion of Japanese and Caribbean/Latin American cuisine. The famous Nestor, who is often referenced in reviews we note, was a terrific host, but everyone with whom we intersected at the restaurant was warm and attentive. The food was great, the prices were quite reasonable and we enjoyed it immensely. The best adjective they could be used to describe the people who run this place is “generous“.
