10/10Great experience. The owner gave us a warm welcome and sat us at a large table. There was plenty of food but if you wanted more you only had to ask. The steak was amazing. Such a great meal and we couldn’t believe how reasonable the cost was. Do take time to reserve a table in advance.

10/10AMAZING! Came here 2 years ago & it was on our list to revisit & it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely amazing food, if you like steak then you must visit. Cooking your own on a hot stone plate is a great experience. Great service & lovely people.

10/10What a fun evening! We were greeted warmly and escorted to our table and the “cook your steak yourself” format was explained and the cooktops brought out. We embarked on a wonderful raucous family meal. There was another large group in the airy room overlooking the beach, and our waiter explained we were in for a surprise. We were! About halfway through the evening a Portuguese folk singer arrived to entertain the other group. All in all, a perfect way to end our family vacation. I highly recommend!.

10/10This restaurant serves delicious food with a perfect twist of feeling like home! The surf and turf are prepared perfectly with the hot stone aspect that creates a memorable dining experience. The family owned restaurant has become part of our family. If you are in Praia das Macas it’s a must! You will be greeted with a smile and leave with new friends. Exceptional!!

10/10The waiter was so welcoming and was friendly. Even though the restaurant was busy he was very attentive. The food was really delicious and tasty and good value. Highly recommend this restaurant at anyone.

10/10This restaurant is generous from start to finish. Not only is the quality of the food fantastic (and all you can eat for €20), it is run by kind and thoughtful owners who not only looked after us beautifully but managed to do it with a birthday party in one corner, a family in another and with a critical football match on the TV. I couldn't recommend this more highly but be sure to book as they are always deservedly busy!

10/10We arrived in the area today and I had researched dining options before traveling and Sal’s seemed to fit our requirements. I can honestly say the offering is brilliant. For a fixed price you have a eat all you like menu which is simply delicious. We drank cold rosê and chilled lager on draft. We were both very happy. Highly highly recommend. Sal and Mrs Sal are a joy. Please don’t hesitate to book. Delicious food and very very reasonably priced!!

8.5/10We really like this restaurant for the following reasons: The situation near the beach is very nice. The staff are warm and welcoming and provided an excellent level of service. Rafael is great. And the food is very enjoyable, specially the chorizo starter.

9.5/10We wanted to go out to eat for a steak dinner and if that is what you want then it is perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive and although it was very quiet (early on a Monday evening) the place had a good atmosphere. For less than 20€ all you can eat steak which you cook yourself at the table, with limitless rice, beans and coleslaw really good value. Right by the beach too. Perfect for carnivores

10/10Dining at Sal and Xixa's was one of the highlights of our time in Colares. Upon arrival, the host greeted us warmly, recognizing us by name from our reservation. We understood in advance that it was a prix fixe menu, but the dishes in each course were well-prepared and presented in a timely manner. By the close of the dinner service, we felt as though we arrived as guests but departed as neighbors. For a fun and delicious dining experience, Sal and Xixa's does not disappoint.

10/10We had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The server (probably the owner) made our evening. He was truly delightful. Food was excellent. There was a set menu, so also removed all pressure of choosing.
