9.5/10lovely restaurant being there two times in two weeks. one time with my wife one time for business. excellent every time. the starters , in particularly the empanadas, and the corn just great . the bife lomo just excellent !!

4/10Disappointing! Really curious how they can make a slow cook pork into a piece of dry unflavored disappointment. The skin is way overcooked and becomes a hard piece of rock. A restaurant with this rating serves this kind of food, a total failure it is I would say!

9/10The food was great, definitely one of the best place in Amsterdam for meat. Also the choices of mezcal was surprising and the lady from the bar explained to us everything we needed to know. The only issue was our table was in a very dark spot, it was a nice atmosphere but it was complicated even reading the menu.

10/10I had a date night at Salmuera on a Friday night. We started we empanadas, ceviche and a glass of excellent natural orange wine. We were already off to a great start as the starters were absolutely delicious and the service attentive and happy to explain and give suggestions. I ordered a filet steak and my partner rib eye, both perfectly cooked. As recommended we got some Mezcal to go with the steak which was a lovely additions. I liked the ambience, it is to be fair quite noisy but I personally did not mind. All in all great experience and totally worth it but definitely a spenny evening too.

2/10I never write restaurant reviews but this experience was so awful, I simply had to. They squeezed us into some seats right in between 2 couples while there was plenty of space throughout the entire restaurant. The spots were so tight it was hard to get into your seats without brushing up against the person on the next table. They served the food as soon as the order went in before even the drinks were served which felt like they were trying to get you in and out of the restaurant as fast as possible. When the food arrived, we had the octopus and the lechon which were both overcooked making them dry, tough and overall hard the eat. The final bill was insanely high for the quality of food and service you receive. In the end we left feeling like we had been robbed/ ripped off of our money. One good thing is that their drinks were delicious and unique, unfortunately everything else was just awful.

4/10I've never written a review before but this experience was so exceptionally disappointing that I've become really impassioned by it. The first red flag was that the restaurant had us all packed like sardines so it was super hot inside: there's hardly any space for eaters and waitstaff (who were visibly struggling to move around to take orders and bring dishes out), we were literally brushing shoulders with the people sitting on either side of us. Having a conversation was out of the question. The 2-person tables are tiny and packed with needless little decorative items that took up the little space available. We left after several appetizers and a drink each: we ordered the "Mexican" shrimp cocktail (that featured half a tostada), an "Argentinean" pancho which they miraculously managed to bastardize (maybe this is an achievement in of itself). Everything tasted like it was frozen and thawed; the food itself is very uninspired, bland, and inauthentic. My stomach was in knots after the pancho thing, which tasted like a microwaved American hotdog wrapped in industrial pastry dough. The cacao gimlets we ordered were viscous and tasted like cheap soap: they used fried rice papers dusted with edible sparkly powder as a 'garnish'--that were soggy blobs by the time they got to our table. The third appetizer we ordered never even arrived. It goes without saying that everything is offensively expensive. It's depressing to me that this restaurant postures itself as the culmination of latinamerican fusion. After leaving I felt empty inside for the rest of the night and the next day. I'm still having dark thoughts (evidently). The only positive experience was with our waitress who was very agreeable. Salmuera is the epitome of neoliberalism and its consequences on the human race and the most philistine expression of cultural diffusion I've ever experienced. I am spiritually damaged as a result, which is evidenced by this review. Saludos.

9.5/10Steaks were really (one ribeye, one entrecôte). Cooked nicely, really tasty. World class. Starters and sides were all good, especially the empanadas, but couldn’t quite compete with the steaks. Service was great, explanation of how to enjoy the paired Mezcal really enhanced the experienced. Atmosphere was good, but tables slightly too close together. I would definitely return for the steak!

6.5/10For my personal taste there was a lot of spicy positions which was not indicated in the menu. I was waiting long (15min) for the waiter to bring the menu and many positions were sold out (disappointing). The place is cosy but very loud and tight. Great wine

8/10Went there with my partner. The mains and the starters we ordered were really tasty and nicely presented. The side of vegetables was a bit watery and underwhelming. We were initially sitting at a table next to a big window and the draft was rather annoying. Luckily, after a bit, we were able to change table. Overall a very nice experience: would recommend and go back!

8/10Nice and cozy place for dinner with friends or for a couple. Everything was running smoothly, service staff was good, starters were nice and steaks were just amazing! Recommend this place if you’re a steak lover. Oh and Salmuera has GREAT and UNIQUE cocktails too!

10/10My friend recommended me Salmuera, his recommendations usually really the best. He also recommended oud-west for living, cheech&chong, Freddy’s and many more. So, this place created for lovely couples, there are so cozy, so warm, so tasty, so beautiful))) Really tasty steaks, side dishes, wines, super service, that is about Salmuera Highly recommended

9.5/10The food was very nice: we had the Street food platter- a very good option to try a bit of everything for starters: (empanadas, alitas, tequeños). As main dish we had a very good Bife Chorizo- and it is also a good option to share. Very nice atmosphere and plenty of space in the restaurant. Important to make reservation. The service was a bit slow, but the overall experience was great. Highly recommended. :)

9/10Steaks are incredible and cocktails are true signature. The bartender explains the whole process and the ingredients. Slightly understaffed so can be slow, but otherwise staff is super friendly

10/10Very good service, I came here with a couple of relatives who didn’t speak any English, and the service team quickly realized and we got the sweetest Spanish girl serving us in Spanish, which was very nice. The food was very good, some of the most authentic Argentinian steak and chimichurri I have ever have. I didn’t try the cocktails, but I am sure I will come back sometime and try them! It was a very nice evening overall, I have zero complains.
