Traditional Portugese restauarnt. The staff are very friendly but it was a bit pricy. Worth a try but wont' go back.

Great experience. Neighborhood Portuguese restaurant, tiled walls, simple tables, adequate menu. Server was excellent. I would go back.

Cute little restaurant apparently frequented by bus tours. We ordered grouper and salmon for our main course. The food was terribly over salted. Even my husband who uses a lot of salt found it way too salty. I do not know if you can order food without salt, but I would certainly try to do so.

The restaurant was like a canteen for tourists. We were rushed through and it was not a pleasant relaxing experience. Our table was right next to the waiter area, constantly being jostled but no other tables available. Food was ok but not exceptional. Very disappointed as this was a place recommended to us.

I was hoping for some hot grilled fresh sardines and was disappointed that I could only get cold ones in oil. The clams were delicious and the prawn pasta was good.

Sally I am very desapointed with your review. How can a restaurant be reviewed based on a expectation of having grilled sardines ? Cant get fresh sardines everyday, and we just wont serve frozen sardines as many restaurants do. Menu is very clear, we only get sardines as a starter, for 6.00€, descrived as baby sardines in olive oil. Grilled sardines we do have it but occassionally., and never as as starters and never for 6.00€.. If it were so important for you, we could have gotten it on the next day. Your review was not fair to the avaluation 8\10 service you gave, so please reconsider it.

Food, service and ambience were all exceptional…especially our waiters and the seafood stew. Definitely a local favorite and now that we’ve been there, we understand why.

We were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel and stumbled upon Santa Marta Marisqueira. What a great find! The food was great and the owners (two brothers) couldn’t have been friendlier or providing better service. Wish we had had more time in Lisbon - we surely would have returned.

Super crowded, tables next to each other, next to the toilet, waiter is assuring that there is no smell :( Super disgusting Only 2 waiters and a boy for the whole space They charge you as much as they can

Cristina, very disapointed with your unfair review. Yes, it was crowded, yes it was christmas eve. You forgot to bring your christmas spirit. Instead you were annoying since minute 1 till the last just because your table was placed in a corner where the bathroom entrance is. No, there was no smell at all. . How many restaurants can say this with more than 100 people inside ? Even the number of waiters you fail in counting... And to make it worst, your family and your husband in particular were much more comprehensive and much nicer to me, the waiter, who even got a generous tip from your husband, who i send my best regards and to the rest of your family. Next christmas, may you have the christmas spirit inside you and give a higher respect to those who are working on such a day, and who would desire to be at home, sorrounded with the family.

We loved this restaurant! Our waiter was attentive and kindly offered excellent suggestions for what to order- he didn’t disappoint! He even showed me how to fillet my grilled sardines - my first time having them. The octopus appetizer and mango with ice cream were also delicious.

Cute Little local place. Very charming staff. Traditional Portuguese restaurant selections. However, the best white sangrias I’ve ever had and the whole group agreed. We would go back just for the sangrias!

My hotel recommended this restaurant and I saw it was highly rated. Went there for the fish and seafood and those were excellent- I had octopus salad to start and a very generous grilled cod portion as a main. Dessert was cheesecake, just right, and the espresso was perfect. So I returned tonight and had cod cakes to start followed by simply grilled sardines. Ended the meal with a bowl of delicious fresh cherries. The staff remembered me and made me feel very welcome. A simple neighborhood spot, with delicious food and wonderful service. Highly recommended.

We made reservations for 6pm but when we got to the restaurant it appeared they did not open until 6:30. However after we pulled on the door, someone came and they let us in and served us early! The food was delicious and portions were generous. We passed on dessert but we’re given a complimentary taste of port which we really enjoyed.
