I had Argentine goulash soup and a filet with mustard sauce. Both delicious. Service was very good. Ambience is affected by proximity to a touristy zone. Santos can accommodate a lot of diners. That said, it is laid out in a way to create an illusion of intimacy. Service was print, courteous and professional.

Service was really good, personel is very focussed on what they are doing and polite. We were allowed to pick our own table, we were given enough time to make a choice from the menu. We didn’t have to wait long before we received our plates. Portions were of a very adequate size, flavours were pure and cooking of the meat (chicken, beef) was good. Overall it was a very pleasant experience at Santos.

We went for mother's day and it was less busy than expected, thanks God. The service was FANTASTIC! our waitress was the best!. The waiting time for the food was really short and the food was really really good! they had some live music which was really cosy and nice! we loved it. It was a perfect dinner.

The steak was good. Enjoyed the dessert - pancakes with banana and ice cream. But we had to wait a while before anyone came to serve us. This can be improved. Otherwise, ambience was great. The guy at the bar was fantastic.

Everything went perfect until the actual payment. As i booked the restaurant with a Hallmark cadeaukaart, I'd expect €30 of the bill to be covered by that card ( the booking was confirmed by IENS) but the restaurant staff couldn't figure out how to use the cadeaukaart or how to apply a discount and I had to pay the full amount (€46.5) with my bank card. Slightly disappointing as the restaurant was chosen from the list on hallmark.nl/verwenkaart

Santos has great food - really good. The main problem is that they are listed in the Albert Heijn directory (https://www.ahrestaurantactie.nl/) as a "single euro" meaning a lower price. More expensive restaurants have two, three or four euros to indicate more expensive restaurants. yet our experience today at Santos was that a three course lunch meal costs 42 euros. We did not choose the most expensive dishes either, but ones in the middle. Their hamburger costs 17 euros! So this is not a "single euro" = less expensive place, unless you really think 42 euros for lunch is cheap. Luckily I talked to them and they they forgave us the dessert requirement (desserts average 7 euros), so we ended up spending 35 euros for two courses, no drinks. Also, the service was good but VERY slow. To have a two-course lunch takes about two hours and fifteen minutes. The server herself was fine, but she was going on "Santos-time" which was probably normal for her. Also, we made the mistake of going at 13.00 when there were absolutely no other customers in the restaurant. As you may know, that is the very worst time to be in a restaurant. Service is much better when a restaurant is busy. Again, the food was great. But, Albert Heijn needs to change the "single euro" pricing indication on their advertisement, which is currently misleading. Thank you for reading this. JG Visser-Mentel Scheveningen, Den Haag, NL

Never dissapointed! This is teh fourth time there and I dare to invite also my friends! Even for those who can't eat food containig lactose, there is something tasty and safe ho have! Some difficulties in arranging inside tables for more than 10 persons! Outside terrase is exquisit and warm even in the cold windy evenings!

A nice restaurant on the square before Kurhaus hotel. There is enough room to sit outside next to one of the fireplaces. So thats what we did, drinks were served quickly and we chose to both order a big steak. Grilled to perfection aswell the taste of it. It came with potatos and some veggies. Prices are what you would expect from a nice restaurant like this one, this is defenitly one of the better places to eat if ur staying at Scheveningen.

It is the second time I eet at Santos without any dissapointments at all! Perhaps the best steak in town! The taste was absolutely excellent! The wine went perfect with the meal! Personnel was very friendly and helpful! In an excellent location, easy to reach, Santos offers a cosy ambiance, for a perfect dinner out, especially if you prefer Argentinian specialities!

We visit Santos a couple of times every year and usually find that the food is good and the atmosphere nice. This time we used the AH coupon and it was a really enjoyable experience. The food was great, free choice of the full menu including free bread and olives, attentive staff and nice premises which has greatly improved since the renovation a few years ago. Santos is definitely worth a visit and we look forward to our next dinner at the restaurant.
