High quality food and service. They were very nice to my two sons (6 and9). That’s remarkable because it’s a high class restaurant for older tourists.

What a fabulous find went there with 6 adults 5 under 10s and 2 16 yrs old we all had a fabulous meal all found something they liked the staff were fantastic the food was top class and the deserts were unreal good I would recommend the lamb but all the food was a one top class my dessert was a lemon delight and I swear the best dessert I have ever had highly recommended chicken nuggets cheese burgers sausage English ones and lovey chips for the kids a must find you won’t be disappointed

One of the best restaurants in the area. We had a very good meal last night. The food was wonderful the ambiance great and the staff friendly and attentive. We will return.

This was our third time at Sao Domingos. The food is fresh and full of flavor. The service was good and though it was too cold to sit outside this visit, we love the outdoor seating! We will be back the next time we are in the Algarve.

Lovely food and great restaurant. Have been before and hopefully, will be back. Only slight problem was the sauce for the main course was delayed and we had to remind the server. Overall, a lovely night out.

We've been visiting the area for over 30 years and São Domingos is always one of our favorite restaurants. It never disappoints. The food is always great and the staff are really helpful and friendly. We highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Enjoyable traditional / family restaurant. We are on. Sunday night in a restaurant full of Portuguese people. Enjoyable food, reasonable prices.

Wow. This was exemplary from start to finish. The service was attentive and quick and was never too much or too little. The food was out of this world good. Starters of clams and prawns were delicious. The main of the seafood rice was outrageously good. Massive portion, unbelievable flavour. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

I’ve visited Sao Domingos every year for the past 20 years and the quality of the food, the staff and the restaurant has always been amazing. I would highly recommend a visit!

We visited shorty after it opened in 1997 and it was fabulous then and little wonder it is just as fabulous now in 2025. The restaurant was smaller then and the ambiance was wonderful. It’s much bigger now and the ambiance is just as lovely The staff were very courteous, went about their business in a quiet and efficient way. always a smile on their faces. The food was delicious and plentiful. When we were there in 1997 there was a very cute plate on the wall of two little cats. I loved it and want to buy it. It was not for sale😬. Tried again last night and it still wasn’t for sale🤗 Really glad we went back. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Been visiting this restaurant for many years during our annual visit to Gale. Outstanding and consistently good food and service. Not the cheapest in the area but definitely one of the best. Well worth a visit.

Excellent food and service. We asked for a wine recommendation from server, and he nailed it! Label 'Fat Baron' was perfect. We took a bottle to go!

I have been eating at Sao Domingos since they opened 30 years ago. They were good and leaders then and they seem to improve every time I visit. This is a special place to spend an evening.

The food was so good here and from the moment we walked in with our three children, we felt like we were in experienced hands! Normally when we eat out with the children it is a slightly rushed affair but we had three courses and everyone loved our time there.

A wonderful heartfelt welcome on arrival, Attentenative service throughout and such amazing food with amazing presentation. This was our third time eating at Sao Domingos, and we will continue to visit each time we're in Gale. A gem to behold.

Absolutely delicious. I am vegetarian and so wasn't sure what to expect from my visit to such a small, family-run restaurant, but I was absolutely blown away. This was the best tofu I have ever eaten in my life! Cannot recommend enough :)
