Wow. This was exemplary from start to finish. The service was attentive and quick and was never too much or too little. The food was out of this world good. Starters of clams and prawns were delicious. The main of the seafood rice was outrageously good. Massive portion, unbelievable flavour. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

We visited shorty after it opened in 1997 and it was fabulous then and little wonder it is just as fabulous now in 2025. The restaurant was smaller then and the ambiance was wonderful. It’s much bigger now and the ambiance is just as lovely The staff were very courteous, went about their business in a quiet and efficient way. always a smile on their faces. The food was delicious and plentiful. When we were there in 1997 there was a very cute plate on the wall of two little cats. I loved it and want to buy it. It was not for sale😬. Tried again last night and it still wasn’t for sale🤗 Really glad we went back. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Been visiting this restaurant for many years during our annual visit to Gale. Outstanding and consistently good food and service. Not the cheapest in the area but definitely one of the best. Well worth a visit.

The sao Domingos was a pleasure from the moment we walked through the doors...friendly helpful service.We had steaks & monkfish & prawns & it was all excellent...we even got a complimentary port before we left.if I'm ever back in the area I'd happily return & would recommend sao Domingos to anyone

I have been eating at Sao Domingos since they opened 30 years ago. They were good and leaders then and they seem to improve every time I visit. This is a special place to spend an evening.

The food was so good here and from the moment we walked in with our three children, we felt like we were in experienced hands! Normally when we eat out with the children it is a slightly rushed affair but we had three courses and everyone loved our time there.

A wonderful heartfelt welcome on arrival, Attentenative service throughout and such amazing food with amazing presentation. This was our third time eating at Sao Domingos, and we will continue to visit each time we're in Gale. A gem to behold.

Absolutely delicious. I am vegetarian and so wasn't sure what to expect from my visit to such a small, family-run restaurant, but I was absolutely blown away. This was the best tofu I have ever eaten in my life! Cannot recommend enough :)

Great food and the staff were really friendly and helpful. More up market but not over the top. More pricey than others in the area, but the quality of the food merits the extra price. The fillet steak was beautiful, tasty and very tender. The car park on site is an extra bonus.

Fantastic Restaurante the food was beautiful. My grandchildren are fussy eaters and they said it was the best. Beautiful Sangria too
