we celebrated a birthday at Sao Jorge. the staff were friendly and helpful with food allergy questions. the restaurant is situated away from the heavy tourist area, up a hill.

Great service and very good food (seafood was 5/5) in a simple cozy setting w nice patio outside as well. Chocolate mousse dessert was gigantic (should have only ordered 1 to share). wine selection was good and service staff knowledgeable about recommending wine. cheese board featured excellent regional selection. 5/5 for value for money.

Very nice and modern restaurant. Friendly staff. Good food and wine, very good. The waiting time is too long. 1 hour and 20 minutes for maincourse, we had no starters so too hungry and ate it all in 15 minutes. Not really how you want to go dining. We think something went wrong because other tables seemed to go quicker. So I would give a new chance.

Charming, trendy with stylish decor and a lovely outdoor seating area. The small menu packs a punch,every dish is delicious and beautifully presented. Service is exceptional, warm, and attentive. Despite its small size, the spacious seating creates a relaxed atmosphere. A delightful dining experience!

We enjoyed our first meal here so much we went back. This time we both had the Portuguese Steak which was delicious. The staff was just as pleasant as last time and even welcomed us back. Another delightful dining experience.

The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. We had the codfish with Pil Pil sauce. Very flavorful. Perfect for fish lovers. We tried grilled lettuce for the first time and really enjoyed it. Both of our desserts were delicious, the chocolate mousse, and the tarte baska. Not sure I am remembering that last name correctly. Would highly recommend.

The service was excellent the food was tasty but nothing special. The portions were small and it made it expensive to add on dishes. The restaurant lacked charm and needed some tlc. Would not go again.
