10/10We were very fortunate to get a last minute reservation while visiting Catania. We love to turn dining into an adventure. Their menu has an option for a 10 course meal where the chef surprises you. My wife and I instantly knew that this is what we were choosing. There were other options for those not inclined to be surprised. We added wine paring to our meal. Each course was delicious and amazing and fit our like of a meal being an adventure. The sommelier did a wonderful job of choosing wines to go with the courses. We didn’t do 10 wines. We had a few that overlapped to the next course as we thought 10 was too many to drink. The sommelier served the majority of the wines from Sicily, and explained each in detail. His descriptions of the wines really added to the enjoyment of the evening. The staff is exquisitely trained to properly serve fine dining. They were always attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend dining at Sapio.

10/10We were a dinner party of three. Staff was attentive throughout our “Sorpresa” tasting experience, which lasted over three hours. The food was inventive, successfully showcasing Sicilian delicacies.

The server was good and the food was delicious at Sapio! We enjoyed the wine pairing as well. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and it was a nice place in Catania Sicily.

+6Very curated cuisine, the menu was pure delight with subtil review of sicilian gastronomy. The only improvement point is the place which is very dark which doesn’t help to create a warm atmosphere.

9/10Best food of my life. Some of the best service I’ve ever recieved. Only reason ambiance wasn’t perfect is we had a extremely loud and obnoxious table next to us, to the point we couldn’t hear the waiter explain the items (out of their control) but still food was 5/5. Would recommend instituting a policy of being reasonably loud

+3While I was almost certain that I would be pleasantly surprised, I was not prepared to be dazzled by the brave renditions of classics elevated with local ingredients with a warmth and hospitality that truly surpassed my expectations. The food was simply put, exceptional. And the chef himself, a delightful presence who spoke of his creations with pride as one would have a favourite child. Will return in spades.

10/10Amazing experience. The small appetizers were incredible. Creative cuisine and presentation for all 5 senses. Thank you for the fabulous evening. While costs might be high compared to Catania's normal restaurant but affordable compared to back home.

We randomly picked a Michelin starred restaurant in Catania. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The food was impeccable and very sophisticated made. We had a 10-course menu and all the dishes were amazing. Service was prompt and precise. The pace, the ambience, the whole thing is a true masterpiece. Not to mention that they have a great wine list and the staff are knowledgeable towards their wine. Overall, I will recommend this restaurant to everyone who travels to catania.

10/10We were a group of nine and very much enjoyed the quality of the food and the excellent service. We got „value for money“ which can not be taken for granted. The restaurant is certainly a beacon in Catania and we can very much recommend a visit!!!

+3We opted for the surprise menu. The portion was quite generous so that we were quite stuffed midway through the meal and could not fully enjoy the last two courses. The staff were very friendly but the service was a bit slow. We ended up spending more than three and a half hours for the meal. I understand we chose the surprise menu but had hoped they could give us some clues.
