Not sure if they accept card payment. We had to pay our bill in cash (and had to go out to get some), while the next table, Americans, had no problem paying by card (after we had paid in cash).

Great service and food. The gnocchi pistachio (special) was delicious. The house red wine was very reasonably priced and good. It’s tight inside so be open to sitting near others. Food and drinks came very quickly after ordering.

At short notice they found is space. The restaurant was great, very welcoming and homely. The food was too notch, I can totally recommend the calzone. Really glad we found this place.

Each time we visit we receive the same excellent service as we encountered on our first visit. The team are super friendly and polite. The food is always outstanding and cooked to perfection. Cannot really fault Sapore Italiano.

The food was wonderful. The best Italian food I've had in Amsterdam. Rating: 5. Five stars. For everything. The restaurant was quite crowded, service was a bit hectic, but worth every minute and every penny for the amazing food.

Visited here last night for an amazing meal. However we were a little dissapointed at first being seated right in front of the bar area which was really busy with waiters backwards and forwards, however we understand as it was very busy. Despite that we still throughly enjoyed our experience over all. The food was authentic, and full of flavour, the staff were attentive and working very hard. Would highly reccomend to other travellers in the area if you want high quality authentic Italian food.

After two weeks in Germany and Austria, we were really craving some good Italian food. We were not disappointed! The quality of the food and service was first class. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The restaurant had a real ambience and busyness about it but it was clear that the staff were too busy to deal with the amount of covers they were providing. Simply put they needed more staff . Our starters came together but my wife’s main was served on its own without mine been delivered . My wife then ate hers by herself with mine coming 15 to 20 minutes later . She actually stopped eating her meal to wait for my meal. In fairness the waiter was really apologetic but they should have started the table again if they couldn’t serve the table together an unfortunate but basic mistake . The food however was excellent but the service was really disappointing.

Our meal in this restaurant was perfect, nice quantities, nice presentation, normal prices for Amsterdam. The team is really sympathetic, caring and kind ! I recommend for sure ! Thanks again, Sapore Italiano !

Round 2…! It’s our absolute favourite. In all the Italian restaurants in Amsterdam, this one hits home in so many ways. The food the service the setting and ambiance is just outstanding. It would be rude not to visit this amazing establishment. 5+stars.

The service was really slow and very chaotic. My glass was dirty, they disposed all the wine and brought me a new empty glass. We were served by 4 people and still it was impossible to get their attention to ask for the bill. They didn’t come to ask if food was good once. The cutlery came almost 10 minutes after food. For this price, I’d expect a better service. Pasta was tasty tho. Young people were serving us, good luck on their journey in avoiding these basic mistakes of fine dining!

It hecame very crowded and noisy. Food was good but not special. Good house wine. Service a bit slow towards the end because of the crowds. Surprised not to have ice cream on the dessert menu

Outstanding dinner. Pasta was very good. The steak was phenomenal!! Best we’ve had in Amsterdam. Will be back. High End Italian dinner. No pizza!

Everyone loved their entrees and ate every bite! Highly recommend the spaghetti bolognese and focaccia bread, The butter that comes with the focaccia bread is to die for!

One of the best ‘True Authentic’ Italian restaurants in the area. The ambience, the food, the service and team were just amazing, cannot express how much of a great time we had on our visit there and how welcomed we were made to feel.
