Have seen this place on the side of the road when walking through Haarlem, wanted to try it out and it is way worse than I expected. The place is tatty, the food is ok but nothing special. Not a nice experience and I would not come back again.

The portions were really small and food quality was low , and when we told we had the fork we received a different menu with limited options. The owner was having a strange attitude with us and making us uncomfortable, asking for a tip at the end was not appropriate with the experience we had.

Scampi is in a lively Haarlem restaurant neighborhood - there are many in this city - this neighborhood near the pleasant river. The owner and staff provided personable service. It's the kind of place you want to go back to!

Strange experience. Food was nog bad, but very minimal. Like the discount was already compensated in the food. (No veggies, salade with minimal tomato etc) the salmon carpaccio had 3 mini slices of salmon. (About 30 gr). The same for the 40gr beef in the surf & turf main dish. The 200 gr beef limo was beaten flat (and I think it was a ribeye) Overall not the experience we hoped for.

The soup was very small and a bit watery. The bread was finished. The vegetables with no taste just boiled and simple. The meat and the fish were fine.

Music was more fit for a beach party and was way too loud, and interrupted by advertisements frequently. Ambiance was pretty bad, from cheap lights to a bathroom door that doesn't close at all. Server was very present, food was small portioned and not very special. A typical person can cook beter at home.

Very good food , reasonably priced . The service was also relatively fast and friendly. Nothing to complain really, we are planning to visit this restaurant again.

Bad experience. I made my reservation, the welcoming was not good, first the restaurant said he didn't have a table inside available so we needed to sit outside, therefore we were about to leave for another place, but when we said that, suddenly they found a table inside... Bad service, bad atmosphere, the decoration is not good, we couldn't find anything at our taste on the menu (which I think is expensive for the rank of the restaurant) so we paid for our drinks and we left.
