8.5/10I chose this restaurant for Christmas Eve because of the menu, the ratings, and because it was in a non-touristy part of Rome. I received a confirmation from The Fork the day before, reminding me that I was NOT getting a set menu. I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the restaurant and found that was not true. All they were offering that evening was a set menu. The choices were limited and not what I was looking for. My food was good, but not great. And it was very difficult for us to get home from there.

7.5/10We came in on Christmas and the food was decently good. Unlike other places, this food gave us massive heartburn, which I'm guessing is due to the copious amounts of oil and butter. They do not have completely accurate food descriptions listed, so we ordered a pasta not realizing it was in tomato sauce until it came (tomatoes weren't listed in the dish on the menu). Some of the food was charged at a higher price than what was on the menu. We were mostly disappointed by the service. While the staff was very attentive to Italian-speakers, they barely spoke with us. We understand language barriers, but there wasn't really even a hello or Merry Christmas. We felt unwanted, despite overpaying for one of the most expensive meals we had in Rome. The restaurant is not in the nicest area and is about a 35 min walk from the Vatican. Overall, wasn't worth it in our opinion.

Sandy Nahmias, Grazie per la sua visita presso il nostro ristorante, mi permetto solo di non essere d'accordo quanto da lei scritto, ruiguardo al food da lei contestato noi abbiamo la nostra espressione, ma forse non siamo per tutti. Ci dispiace che l Lei abbia dichiarato il falso riguardo il pane e sevizio che noi conteggiamo a euro 3 per persona. a fine pasto dal suo tavolo il cestino del pane sembra pero sia stato gradito. Grazie buona serata

10/10The lady serving us was very knowledgeable and sweet. Great experience all in all. The food was amazing. A bit pricey but worth it! We’ll definitely be back.

10/10Food was excellent, service polite, fast and friendly, restaurant stylish. Lots of pescatarian options, far fewer vegetarian main courses, but they were happy to adapt several of the items on the menu to make them veggie.

10/10This is a traditional, family run restaurant. We wanted to end our week with a really good meal and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Everything was delicious and our waitress was so helpful and attentive. She was knowledgeable about the food and could give recommendations. We were served quickly, but never rushed. The seafood gnocchi was particularly delicious!

10/10This is the second time that we have eaten here and it did not disappoint. Every mouthful was wonderful! My children devoured the carbonara and my husband declared that the pear with zabaglione was the best dessert that he has ever eaten. Grazie mille per una cena meravigliosa!

After spending more than four days in Rome with my family, eating pizza and pasta, we began to look for something more traditional Italian cousin. As we were staying in the Neighborhood, we found Secondo Tradizione. Eating here was a very pleasant experience. The food, the selection of wines, and the service were great. I would constantly recommend anyone in the area to stop by for dinner here.

Walked in on Sunday evening after a long day at the Vatican City and other sites. It was just a few minutes from our hotel. We had an exceptional meal at a very accommodating and friendly atmosphere. Great prices and authentic menu. Five stars, will return. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere, were all top notch. Thank you for helping us end an unforgettable and wonderful vacation on such a high note!

After reading reviews of other, I think we had higher expectations. We made a late reservation and the restaurant sat us quickly. We weren’t super hungry, so we each got a pasta dish and a drink. The wine I had was wonderful, the server gave me a taste of 2 to decide. I ordered the gnocchi with artichokes and my boyfriend got the tuna pasta. It arrives quickly, but were underwhelmed with the taste. I don’t know if we ordered the wrong items, but it seemed somewhat of a bland, basic taste. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Thank you!

6/10Booked the restaurant through the fork/tripadvisor and I was supposed to get a 20% discount which never occured. This is the first time that I do not get a discount as agreed upon on the fork. The food was excellent but theI prices really really high, we ended up paying almost 70€ each! Honestly at that pricetime you can eat in the best restaurants in the center of Rome and at any 5/star hotel. A platter of cold cuts and cheeses for 2 was 40€, wines were very expensive and not so good also the wine list is limited. So we had one appetizer, one first course, the wine and desserts. I will not go back.
