The best restaurant during our one-week visit to Italy. We chose the tasting menu, and all the dishes were very creative—somewhat bold, but not overwhelming—and absolutely delicious. We had three glasses of wine (one white and two orange) as well as a dessert wine, all of which were excellent. It would be very hard to enjoy such fine Italian wines elsewhere, and the selection of orange wines was particularly impressive. We will definitely visit the restaurant again in the future.

+2We wanted local wines and the sommelier had wonderful suggestions. We created our own tasting menu to try some local foods. The red prawns with garlic panna cotta was the best dish we had so far in Italy.

10/10The wait staff service and the food were amazing. My wife and I had a great dinner. They split our antipasti, primi, and secondi dishes before they brought them to the table. The dolce and amaro were a fine finish.

8/10There were only 2 staff on the floor which meant some tables had a very long wait to be seen to. A group of 4 high spending Japanese diners arrived which created additional pressure as the male waiter devoted most of his time then to their table and needs at the expense of other diners. This was an observation - as we were fortunate in that our booking was early and it was fairly quiet when we arrived and this didn’t have the same impact on us. All diners should be treated equally in my opinion.

Warm welcome by genuinely enthusiastic staff into stylish space so near to San Marco square, but miles away in food quality. French oysters 2 ways? Especially w elderflower jelee?? oh yeah! Scallops & mushroom perfect. Sea bream w the most perfectly crunchy/fresh/perfectly cooked vegetables yet in Italy??? Yes please. Great wine by glass at fair price. Well balanced semi freddo to round it out. Noticed waitstaff was as attentive & kind to solo diner nearby- sometimes rare in Italy- kudos to their professionalism. HIGHLY recommend, from well travelled foodies.

This restaurant is a jewel. Located in a quiet street not far from busy St Mark square, it is the perfect combination of traditional Italian cuisine and innovative cooking. The price quality ratio of the tasting menu is amazing. The wine pairing is fabulous and it is a pleasure to listen to the female sommelier. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Venice.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Sestante! We seemed to step outside of Venice for the evening - it has a modern aesthetic with a quiet ambience. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. We were especially impressed with Claudia, our sommelier, who was so knowledgeable in her choices to pair with our courses.
