8/10There were only 2 staff on the floor which meant some tables had a very long wait to be seen to. A group of 4 high spending Japanese diners arrived which created additional pressure as the male waiter devoted most of his time then to their table and needs at the expense of other diners. This was an observation - as we were fortunate in that our booking was early and it was fairly quiet when we arrived and this didn’t have the same impact on us. All diners should be treated equally in my opinion.

9.5/10food was pretty good. presentation and attention to detail was outstanding. one item to fix is air conditioning, it was too hot in the restaurant, like air conditioning was not able to keep up.

10/10Warm welcome by genuinely enthusiastic staff into stylish space so near to San Marco square, but miles away in food quality. French oysters 2 ways? Especially w elderflower jelee?? oh yeah! Scallops & mushroom perfect. Sea bream w the most perfectly crunchy/fresh/perfectly cooked vegetables yet in Italy??? Yes please. Great wine by glass at fair price. Well balanced semi freddo to round it out. Noticed waitstaff was as attentive & kind to solo diner nearby- sometimes rare in Italy- kudos to their professionalism. HIGHLY recommend, from well travelled foodies.

10/10Had a wonderful dinner here with my mother and we had the pleasure of having Georgia as our waitress. The food was amazing and we sincerely wish we could go back before we leave Venice. I 100000% recommend this place for a lovely evening and the best fish and seafood.

10/10This restaurant is a jewel. Located in a quiet street not far from busy St Mark square, it is the perfect combination of traditional Italian cuisine and innovative cooking. The price quality ratio of the tasting menu is amazing. The wine pairing is fabulous and it is a pleasure to listen to the female sommelier. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Venice.

10/10We absolutely loved our dinner at Sestante! We seemed to step outside of Venice for the evening - it has a modern aesthetic with a quiet ambience. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. We were especially impressed with Claudia, our sommelier, who was so knowledgeable in her choices to pair with our courses.

9/10This was the best meal my husband and I had during our stay in Venice! The staff was very friendly; they were also very helpful in finding appropriate wine pairings to our taste and to the meals we ordered! We went at opening time so it was quiet hence the lower atmosphere rating - I’m sure when in full swing, it’s lovely.

10/10This is a stunning modern restaurant steps away from San Zaccaria. A wonderful restaurant experience. We received a warm welcome and friendly, attentive & informative service including a brilliant wine recommendation. The atmosphere is calm and informal. The food was among the best we have ever had. We had oysters (including the chef special), red shrimp pasta, pesto pasta, sea bass, pork, cheesecake and semi freddo. Those descriptions do not do the food justice. It was exceptional and the chef provided creative presentation but recognises flavour above all else. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the team for a beautiful experience.

9.5/10Wonderful atmosphere and welcoming staff! We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was great! All dishes were well balanced and paired well with the wine presented. They also provided an extra amuse Boucherie with additional wine which was a nice touch. The server and other staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

10/10Beautiful modern Venetian dining a little way off from the tourist track. Fabulous reinterpretations of classics. Most dishes center around fresh seafood. Every course we had was a hit. Super friendly and knowledgeable service. Also—I am gluten free and they had GF crackers and pasta to substitute for me!!!! Highly recommended!

10/10Phenomenal food on their tasting menu. Everything was locally sourced and incredibly fresh. The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable. Wasn’t very busy and they were able to personalize some things for me as I have an allergy. Would absolutely recommend!

10/10The food and service was excellent. Limited menu but vey good. Food is modern northern Italian and some from North American might not like some things on the menu. Be open minded and you will enjoy the meal.

10/10The waitstaff was very knowledgeable. They knew their wine list and were able to give good detail about the wines they offered. Their off menu items were delicious, as well as their catch of the day. As a retired country club manager, I know what to expect when it comes to fine dining and service, my expectations were definitely met!
