10/10Ambience was beautiful on the rooftop. The staff was very personable and warm as well as very attentive . Dinner and wine was delicious and dessert was heavenly .

9/10despite the rain was the view extraordinary. the Restaurant is on top of the Sofitel Hotel just for those who may not know it. Food was good, Service was excellent

7/10The food and setting were excellent. Unfortunately the service and overall experience was average. Despite mentioning that our evening was a special birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgement of this whatsoever during the evening. The service was ok but it was very “wooden”, we did not feel special as we have done in other less upmarket restaurants. The wine pairing was really disappointing in terms of quality and amount. We did complain about this and in fairness they refunded one of the wine pairing supplements but we would have preferred not to need to. Overall, we had a nice evening as the ambience and food was great, but it was a shame that it wasn’t an amazing and memorable special occasion for us.

4/10Disappointing that you can’t sit outside if you want to have normal dinner, you HAVE TO take the 5 course even if you don’t want to just for sitting outside, very bad And also the service was bad it took very long time they were very stressed and didn’t look at the coustomers

10/10Beautiful setting, amazing view of Rome, exquisite dishes (we had the taster set menu, both the meat and the fish version). My only remarks would be that the asparagus replacing the beef tartare were a bit bland, but certainly lighter, whilst I found the carbonara with tartufo a bit heavy for August in Rome. The taste was excellent nevertheless. Excellent wine list and service too.

2.5/10Outside dining is only prefixed menu which they don’t explain ahead of time. Food was good, just ok. Service was pretentious and not called for as it was not packed.

5/10The whole experience was underwhelming. From the doorman who didn’t tell us how to get to the restaurant, no napkins on the table & warm white wine which the waiter tried to tell us was because our glasses were warm. I’m a restaurateur. The glasses should never be warm at the table, and this is an expensive restaurant . However the bottle of white was room temperature, he was just BSing us. Other guests had baseball hats on and another table were in shorts and flip flops. Stunning view but just not worth it.

10/10We arrived at settimo last night for a meal and was treated exceptionally from start to finish. We ordered the truffle carbonara and the beef filet with pumpkin and mushroom and were blown away with the flavours! Hands down the best meal we have ever had, so good that we had to order another main just to see what else they had to offer. We shared the tortellini cacao filled with beef stew. And finished it all off with some green apple/ lemon / strawberry sorbet and a tiramisu. 100/10 would highly recommend for a romantic dinner with stunning skyline of Rome and sunset views.

6.5/10Although they offer the best view we could find in the area, the service was disappointing. It took 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there, and then they never came back to check once we were served. We had delicious sea bass and wine, but the diner was smaller then an appetizer and the wine pour was the smallest we’ve ever seen.

10/10The service was EXCELLENT and the food was Fabulous! The view overlooking the city was also spectacular, even on a cloudy night. From the cocktails to dessert, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect meal.

7/10Location is one of the best. Super cool terrace overlooking the city, with a fantastic vibe, cool music, modern appearance with traditional Roman touches. Cocktails are delicious. Wine recommendation was perfect. Food was a little disappointing. Antipasti was fine. Primi came with the wrong type of pasta. Secondi seafood was not so tasty. We skipped dolce. Service was friendly, but missed that extra attention - for the prices we were surprised to be pouring our own wine and waiting long periods for the plates to be removed. Getting kicked out at 9:30 for the next guests was known by us in advance, but somehow it feels like you’re being hurried along when the bill arrives at 9:15 without asking for it.

6/10When we arrived for our reservation, the team that greeted us seemed out of sorts and confused in general. They took us to a temporary table while we waited for our actual table outside. We were left at the temporary inside table for no apparent reason, because the outdoor rooftop seating area where our table was, was almost empty. Once we were seated, we were left without anyone greeting us for 15-20 minutes. As soon as the waiter arrived there was no greeting, only a “you ready”? We had to ask for a wine menu to order our drinks and once our food was delivered I never saw our waiter again. The light went out on our table lamp during our dinner and we had to track someone down after waiting for 10 minutes with no one stopping by. When we asked for a replacement lamp so we wouldn’t have to eat in the dark, the waiter looked annoyed. Overall, the service was poor and the food was mediocre at best. The ambiance and views were nice.

5/10The last time we were visiting Rome, we dined at Settimo and had a wonderful experience. This time around we decided to come and celebrate the end of our honeymoon in Italy the night before we left to go back home. It was the worst dining experience we had in quite some time. We decided to show up thirty minutes early to have pre-dinner drinks to watch the sunset over Villa Borghese where I actually proposed to my wife a couple of years ago. The hostess sat us at the perfect table outside and a waiter came over to take our drink order. At 7pm, the time of our reservation, the hostess brought us the food menu and a shortly after our waiter came to take our order. We decided to order a starter but wanted time to decide on entrees so the waiter offered to come back shortly to take our entree orders. Someone did come out to deliver our starter but our waiter never came back out. 40 minutes later, I went inside to ask the hostess if the waiter had forgotten us. She said she would consult her colleague and someone would be right out. 10 minutes went by and no one came to talk to us. At this point, the sun was down and the temperature dropped around 20 degrees and it got pretty windy. Everyone who was sitting outside asked to move inside. We were the only people sitting outside at this point so we decided to grab our menus and go stand inside to see if someone could serve us. Our waiter passed us by and asked if we needed a table! He’d clearly forgotten that he just served us 45 minutes ago outside so we reminded him that we had a 7pm reservation and that he’d taken our drink and starter order already. He went to check the list of reservations and confirmed my last name and then sat us a new table and took our food order and then disappeared again. He told us he’d come back to take our drink order but we eventually had to flag down another waiter to place our drink order. We didn’t see anyone until our food and drinks finally came out. We finished our food and drinks pretty quickly and had hoped to order dessert but no one came to check in on us. Several waiters were servicing the tables surrounding us, just not us. Finally, we decided to flag the waiter down who took our drink order and asked for the check. He brought that to us about 10 minutes later and we waited for him to take our payment but again after 15 minutes we got up and proceeded to the hostess stand with the bill. He came over, took my card, swiped it and handed me the receipt and didn’t say anything to me. There were no apologies for the poor service or explanation. It was quite disappointing as we got their early to start our evening and didn’t leave until 9:00pm! They didn’t even have that many tables and perhaps could have been short staffed but no one came by to give us any explanation or apology. It’s outstanding that you can have one great experience at a restaurant only to return and have the opposite experience. I’m sad to say we won’t be returning to Settimo ever again. Perhaps they didn’t like our kind at this restaurant? I hate to insinuate this but they way we were treated had us questioning why we were treated this way.

10/10Went tonight with my boyfriend for his birthday and it was amazing. The view was breathtaking, the waiters were super kind and polite. The food was unbelievable, perfect restaurant.

10/10The service was brilliant, the food was amazing and the view was spectacular. The only thing I would rate that was poor was that when I asked if a balcony table was available they said it was fully booked but the tables were free for the 2 hours we were there.

4/10We returned to setimo in an attempt to recapture the magic of a perfect lunch we shared there in October 2021. Alas, it didn't quite work out for us this time. Our reservation got bumped to accommodate a larger party, and when we arrived at the door there seemed to be no trace of our reservation. After checking another app the hostess did find our reservation but advised us that we'd have to wait off to the side until a table became available. Not a problem for us because she sat us at a comfortable sofa with a nice view of the kitchen door. After half an hour or so we were offered a table but elected to stay where we were. Appetizer and pasta were good but the food and meat were really disappointing. We had a photo of the sea bass from October and neither the taste nor the presentation equalled that first experience this time around. The grilled lamb was actually disgusting - a sin to have wasted the life of one of God's creatures on such an abomination. I cannot remember being nauseated by an entree. There was no hope that a tiramisu could "pull us up" out of this mess so we cut our losses and bailed without desert. Never to return.

3/10I just wanted to spend my birthday at the rooftop but I choose the wrong one.The prices are very high,portions so small,quality of the food was bad,just the service was ok.There is not a view because of the windows and the lights.We ordered 4 cheese set but it was enough only for 1 person.This place look so big and comfy on photos but actually is very small.
