Fantastic food, and a great visit. The staff were very kind with my shaky italian, and let us take out time and have some wine while we chose our food. Would highly recommend.

I'm a traveler from Japan. it's my 3rd dinner in Rome, First one, I found by Google and it does not exceed my expectation. 2nd one, my friends in Rome took me there(middle of Rome, very busy area, Sardinia sea food). It was excellent. This Sgarbatella, I found and took one of my friends. It is located in quiet living area, no other restaurant or shop around. First impression was "????" BUT, food is GOOD, service is GOOD, when we left there, restaurant is FULL of Italian people. I really recommend this small restaurant.

One of those restaurants that make you want to go back the next day. Strongest points are the quality of the dishes and the relaxed, quiet neighborhood atmosphere. I have tried only fish dishes and dessert and everything was delicious. The owner very kindly accommodated my request of sitting at a table outside since I had two dogs with me, and I really appreciated how silent and secluded the location was. I will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu, which was very appealing.
