7.5/10I know that being a single diner is not ideal, but to arrive where people are dining on a medieval patio, be led through the beautifully-decorated restaurant, and be seated against a wall out back in the street does not really make one feel valued. The service was excellent and efficient. The food seems pretty heavy. Tasty, but be sure to arrive hungry.

10/10Lovely restaurant in a quiet location but very close to the main piazza erbe.. Good food and wine and excellent service. We liked it a lot so went twice!

6.5/10It was Saturday evening in the centre of Verona, I was seated away from the main outside dining area, I expected some delay but waiting 40 minutes to take my order was unacceptable, the bread arrived first and the water came after 45 minutes. The lasagna was a large portion and tasty, the boneless chicken was disappointing undercooked with bone fragments, the broccoli was fresh but invisible on my plate, I waited for them to ask if I wanted coffee or a desert but I think they had given up on me. It would have been 4 stars if they had the correct number of staff. I actually felt sorry for the staff they looked exhausted, Saturday evenings are always hit and miss I guess this was the case here

10/10Although the restaurant was very close to Piazza delle Erbe it was in a really quiet location. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and professional. It was a brilliant dining experience!

6.5/10Sgarzarie is a nice little restaurant in a very good setting in the heart of Verona's historic centre and it shares its outdoor dining with two other restaurants, which makes the outdoor dining at times rather too busy and chaotic. The quality of food is OK, with a very average octopus starter counterbalanced by an excellent Amarone risotto, a pivotal dish of the local cuisine. The service unfortunately was hardly caring and although high turnout is expected on a Saturday night, also a more timely and caring service would be expected. All in all not a bad experience but I wouldn't go back.

10/10What a great place situated in the very heart of Verona. The patio is an old Roman terrace. The food is really great and the service is excellent! Must-go restaurant if you visit this lovely town!

10/10The restaurant is set in a beautiful piazza. Lovely tables in a very pretty setting with exceptional food and wines and excellent service. Very good value all round makes it our favourite restaurant in Verona. Can’t wait to return when we next visit Verona.

10/10Every time I a in Verona I go to Sgarzarie. They are excellent. The menu is creative. Try to have the meal outside. They have a separate quarter. Need to book. They are quite busy.

9.5/10Really good Italian food in this lovely restaurant where you can eat outside, below an old hall. The eggplant with mozzarella were marvellous. The waiters were all extremely efficient and friendly. Perfect lunch for us.
