10/10Incredible staff with delicious traditional sicilian cuisine. We are a family of 6 with all different tastes and all of our dishes were amazing. We stayed in Taormina for 3 nights and we loved the place so much that we went back there for a second time on our last night in town.

10/10My second visit to Taormina included a delightful dinner at Shelter, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by welcoming staff who immediately made us feel at home. Their recommendations were spot on, enhancing our dining experience. The pizza at Shelter is truly unreal—flavorful, and undoubtedly some of the best I've ever had. Their extensive wine selection caters to all tastes, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for your meal. We originally had a group of four and had to add two more to our reservation last minute - the staff was so accommodating even though they were fully booked up! The staff continually checked in to ensure we had everything we needed, providing top-notch service throughout our visit. As a lovely gesture, they offered complimentary après-dinner drinks, a thoughtful thank you that capped off a perfect evening. I highly recommend Shelter for anyone visiting Taormina and seeking an exceptional dining experience. I'll definitely be returning again and again!

10/10Cute family run restaurant on a side street had yummy bruschetta, great pizza, and aperol spritz! After sight seeing around Taormina, it was nice to have a bit of reprieve at Shelter. Staff was friendly and spoke english!

5/10I regret to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. The bread served at the table was stale and hard, as if it had been sitting around for days. The sea bass fillet I ordered was surprisingly thin and the most miniature fillet I have ever seen. It left me wondering if the kitchen was trying to save on ingredients. Equally disappointing was the pizza, which was chewy and unpleasant to eat. My son, usually a pizza fan, couldn't stomach more than a couple of slices due to its unappetizing texture. Despite the shortcomings of the food, the wait staff was courteous and accommodating throughout our meal. However, excellent service alone cannot compensate for the subpar dining experience. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options in the area.

3/10Nice terrace. Extremely slow service (probably to make us order a 2nd bottle of wine). Good but expensive wines. Very ordinary food, little flavour and not particularly well cooked. Nobody asked how the food was, so probably the staff know it.

5/10Had to eventually cancel the entree since it never came and we had to leave. Talked to the waiter and he said they had a new chef and he really didn't know what was going on.

10/10Great food. We had prawns, pizza and pasta, all of which were excellent. We were also served a complimentary aperitif and hors d’ouvre on arrival which was a lovely touch. Fantastic service and all in a an atmospheric location.

10/10The restaurant is located in a narrow street a few steps away from the city center of Taormina, perfect for a nice dinner away from crowded and noisy streets. The food was amazing, probably the best dinner we had in Taormina over the timespan of a week. I would recommend this place to anyone in the mood for pizza, as it was delicious and properly baked, which means not in an electric oven as most restaurants in Taormina unfortunately do. The pasta with shrimps and pistachio pesto is a must try and also the wine selection was great. The staff it really kind and helpful, when we arrived our table wasn't ready, as the previous guests were late and the owner offered us some prosecco while we were waiting. The price is average for Taormina, while the quality and the service are by far superior to any restaurants we tried in the area.

9.5/10Excellent food and very friendly service!! We had a wonderful dinner with fish dishes and local cheeses, rhe wine selection is enorm! We had made a reservation in advance and we did not regret it, the place was quiet busy hen we walked in.

9/10Loved the ambience of this restaurant set in a side street of Corso Umberto. We were offered on the house prosecco while waiting for our reserved table to vacate. The food was delicious and the staff professional. Would definitely recommend!

10/10Celebrated a birthday at the Shelter and what a great evening. Highly recommended. Service impeccable and food (steaks and pasta fantastic.). I wouldn’t normally post a review however this restaurant and it’s staff deserve the recognition. Many thanks once again.

10/10The location is good. Service is fast, staff are friendly, warm and accomodating. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant. We loved it. The kids loved it. The food served were in good portion and really tasty. We were full just for the starter. :) They even made our kids fish meal that's not on the menu. Definitely, we will come back again!
