We were in Catania for three days during the Feast of St. Agata. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and our hotel host recommended the restaurant for lunch. We were the only foreigners in the room and we were made to feel very welcome. It took a few minutes for our table to be prepared and the owner brought us some Prosecco and bite sized pieces of freshly baked pizza dough. The dining room was lively with large groups of local families. There were three of us and we ordered dishes to share and glasses of the house wine. The food was excellent ( salad, Carbonara, and fresh fish, tiramisu) and the service was wonderful! So good that we went back the next evening!

We stayed in Catania for 3 days and visited this restaurant twice after recommendations. The staff were lovely and so helpful. We really liked the relaxed atmosphere and the food was amazing and reasonably priced. I had grilled swordfish which was double the size portion that I had anywhere else! Sadly the weather was terrible during our time in this city but at least we got to escape the rain and relax here.

The food was tasty but my dish of ONE calamari on a plate for 14euro was overpriced. The service was so fast we had no time to enjoy our meal. We sat down. Menus were given straight away and within 2minutes they came to take our order. Within 10minutes entree was served. As soon as we took the last piece of food from our plate the plate was whisked away. The waiters were standing sentry watching our every move! Five minutes later our main was served. What in the world. We felt like we were so rushed when every other place we have had dinner would never have this kind of service.

Have spent 7 nights in Catania and this is among the best restaurants I have eaten in. I cannot say I've had a bad meal in any of the time I've been here, but Sicilia in Bocca was a great find (even the taxi driver couldn't find it first time!). The service is excellent, all their recommendations were just right, they looked after me and my parents superbly. Thank you for a great evening!

Its bad! We ordered 2 suggested dishes, waited for 45 minutes in a pretty empty restaurant and received bad food. First, my pasta was overcooked, can you believe it? Overcooked in Italy! And they was very surprised that i can recognize overcooked pasta, I didn't want to wait for another 40 minutes, so they charged for the pasta that i didn't eat. My wife ordered risotto - and now for the grand finale - the risotto was made with regular rice and with no parmigiana cheese! It was simple rice porridge with some seashells, no risotto rice, no parmigiana cheese!!!! We paid and left not to come again - never!

The Most disappointing dinner during our ten day trip around Sicily: almost empty restaurant with a very simple athmosphere; one seafood pasta was good, two other dishes very simple (and rather cold). An impertinent waiter then at the end "forgot" the Fork discount. Surely no recommendation!!
