After looking up many restaurants the Slingerbulten was a great find in Gamla Stan. The food was fabulous, we had the Ox Tail, Meatballs, Salmon and Apple Crumble for dessert which is served cold(served warm in UK) but still very tasty. The service was good and staff friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed with a nice ambiance. we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would go back.

The restaurant is a hidden pearl although in a tourist center (Gamla Stan). Definitely not a cheap one: we paid 895 kronas for 2 with main dishes each, one shared starter and 2 drinks. I recommend to try chief's specialty offered. I ordered and did not regret. Book your visit in advance: it's always full and rather small. I reduce score because the table swang. The servers were too young and judgmental. They need to treat customers of all races the same. Not favor the more Swedish looking or white with more respect. Not good. Besides this point, it was a great time with good friends and good food. Thanks.

I went to this restaurant with low expectations, thinking it's a tourist trap with maybe some average food. However, I got pleasantly surprised with my veggie dish. Veggie terrine turned out to be more of a melanzane parmigiana, which was great, as I was not looking forward to a cold main. Flavours were great and they complimented each other. My partner had a perch and we both thought the dishes were worth 4/5.We'd definitely go back.

Amazing food, the serving is quite generous. We ordered fried herrings and Swedish meatballs both with mashed potatoes. The service was also excellent.

Nice restaurant with good food & service. Menu is somewhat limited, however one can find something that fits for every taste. Not exactly cheap but still in a moderat price range for downtown Stockholm.

Very good meals, with abundant portion. The restaurant design it’s really nice, as well as the atmosphere inside. The price are honest considering to be in the center of Stockholm (800sek for two main dishes, two glasses of wine and one dessert)

A friendly atmosphere, delicious food and good quality for money make this restaurant our favourite in Stockholm. We had matjessil herings, onion, egg and potatoes) as a starter, then salmon with potatoes in sauce and creme brûlé. Highly recommended!

Nice and cosy place in the island of the Old City! We were there for dinner and we had fried squid as a starter, then kottbullar (the classical meatballs with smashed potatoes and blueberry and row salmon with potatoes and chocolate truffle. Nice staff, very good prices (for the Swedish standard). Definitely go and try!

Risotto was good but unfortunately wasn't a real risotto. The squid wasn't crispy which was disappointing. The waitress was lovely and the enviroment quite nice.

I order their risotto. The risotto was nothing like it should be if you longing for a tasteful delicious risotto. This was dry and it hardly had any taste and they actually had put cream in it - this should say in the menu! and so this made the risotto taste like a milky dry porridge. And they charge you like 249 SEK for it!!?? For rice and cream? Not worth it at all! Please change it to an original and follow the recipe. The restaurant itself is looking good inside.

The restaurant is great. Been many times pre Covid. Made a reservation thru “the fork” website tonight. Easy to do. 7 pm reservation confirmed by “the fork” at 6:30. Grabbed an Uber. When we arrived, sign on door said closed for renovation. Open late May. ????????????????. Tomorrow is June 1. Next time I’ll call ahead and not use the fork app. Waste of time.

I was skeptical when I saw their high ratings but was pleasantly surprised that they lived up to all of them! Really friendly staff, nice ambience, GREAT prices for Stockholm and food was amazing for the price. Can really recommend to anyone and I will for sure be back! We used a Yums discount which was happily received by the staff (not the case with many other restaurants).

Saturday night and it was full but the service was still great with excellent food (the wild boar rack was excellent), nice atmosphere and good value, definitely recommend this place and we will be back.
