7/10Somehow the Food has had a slightly decline since last time we visited. Bao was a major disappointment and dumplings were better before. Service was good and people's willingness to improve the experience was very important to still enjoy the meal.

6/10The food and the service were ok, but considering the price I would expect better quality. One day before my reservation (Valentine's day), the restaurant called me to inform that they would need the table 1h30 after my reservation (that had been made 3 weeks in advance and for 2 hours) without any justification. As I wouldn't have the option to choose for another restaurant given that it was the day before the Valentine's day, I had to anticipate my reservation by 30min.

10/10We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Soão last night with family. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The staff truly stood out- Andre and Vasco were outstanding. So attentive, warm and friendly, and they genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and truly looked after. The food was out of this world, beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the ambience was just as impressive. We were lucky enough to have a private room, which was incredible and made the evening feel extra special and relaxed. A perfect combination of amazing food, exceptional service, and a beautiful setting. We left feeling delighted and can't wait to return. Highly highly recommended! Thank you to the wonderful team at Soão for such a memorable evening.

8/10I have been to Soao many times in the past, and I was always unhappy with the service as waiters/ waitresses not very pleasant and sometimes I preferred not to book rather than face the staff. But this time, people serving on that day were much more pleasant and kind. I hope that the new staff members that were present on the day we visited the restaurant continue to make it a much more pleasant experience than before. The food was good and the environment pleasant.

4.5/10Even with the fork discount we paid 75€ for 2 people. Without discounts would be 120€ For 2 cocktails, 2 starters and 2 main dishes. The starters were tasteless, main dishes did not come at the same time. The tataki veil went cold very fast, cut with a very thick cut, hard to chew. The shrimp on the pad thai had an odd flavor, tasting like frozen. And the wrong pad thai was brought to me, it was not the one requested. Cocktails were extremely sweet. I like sweet cocktails, but someone dumped the syrup on the cup.

+15The decor and ambiance is amazing, a fusion of rustic and elegannce extremely well achieved. The rooms are rich in wood and other natural elements crafted and combined in subtle yet refined ways that tranport the visitors to far away lands from a distant time. The menu matches the refined craft of the space and features many premium ingredients such as lobster, crab, wagyu and fresh fishes. It was a very pleasant experience that I will definitely repeat soon.

3/10The food was actually very good, but the overall experience was ruined by how uncomfortable it was inside. It was a hot day, and despite that, the restaurant had no proper cooling. I don’t understand how a restaurant charging over €20 per dish doesn’t have proper air conditioning. It was hard to focus on the meal while sweating at the table. I honestly felt bad for the staff working under those conditions. Would not recommend visiting in the summer. We won’t be coming back.

6/10The definition of the word "meh". It wasn't memorable, but it wasn't bad either. Overpriced for what we got served. Glad I went to try it out but underwhelming. Probably won't return.

I went there with a friend and after the amazing dinner we asked for 2 amazing cocktails and we were allowed to stay there ( moving to another table) until 11pm! Will return for sure to try other dishes! The boa-baos and the sushi were awesome!!!

+1Soão concentrates the oriental world on two floors and a dozen tables. To say that the decor is the highlight of this experience would be a detriment to the fine meal we had, but the fact is that this Asian tavern makes you want to get on a plane and only land in Hanoi. We decided to start with a bao that never came. Although it was a false start, the sushi that followed was really good. The assortment was varied, the fish was high quality and we were surprised by one or two interesting flavors. During the meal, we had a nice Japanese tea. Finally, for dessert, we had a good pear tart with ice cream accompanied by a shot of sake offered by the house.

7/10Nice decorated restaurant, food is flavorless even there are efforts to do as much as they can authentic asian food. The envelop of dim sums are over thick, the baos are dry and the wagyu tasteless. The pho, the broth was not a long cooking broth as I did not feel at all the spices ( anise etc..), the beef difficult to chew excepted the oxtail. Lack of expertise of the food in the service. But we feel the efforts of the Chef , I might pay another visit.

9/10Our wagyu meat was a bit hard to chew even though the meat was cooked well. The pieces of fat stayed on not being rendered enough - so besides the inside of some pieces being a bit harder you also had that on top of the chewiness. The tea was amazing and so were the starters!
