10/10It was pouring rain but that didn't stop us! So glad we were able to experience Sofia's Place - the food, the ambience, Sofia's beautiful personality! It's compare of the Lisboa experience!

10/10Sofia’s Place is home. Ana Sofia welcomes you like family and the ambiance of the restaurant makes you want to settle in and stay for a good while. The food is well prepared and excellent. I have to say that was the best picanha I’ve had. If in Lisboa, Sofia’s Place is definitely worth the visit.

10/10We had dinner at Sofia’s on our last day in Lisbon and, hands down, this was the best dinner we had the entire time we were in Portugal. I wished that we were going to be in Lisbon longer because I would have definitely returned for a second time. The food was amazing. Sofia was amazing and greeted us with such warmth. The restaurant is small, cozy and intimate and its warmth matches its owner. I had the peanut butter chicken. I’ve had it before, but it was not even close to being as good as it was at Sofia’s. I loved my time in Lisbon and plan to return next year. Sofia’s will be my first stop.

10/10This is a special place. The ambiance, the food, the host, the owner, all make this place very special. The food is excellent, fresh and delicious. The owner is always on hand, very attentive and welcoming. This is a must visit!

10/10Sofia’s Place is truly special! Sofia greets all her customers like old friends. Her cuisine is amazing! A fusion of many cultures with unique spices and sauces. Portions are generous and all the food is delicious!! Don’t miss this incredible dining experience.

10/10Sofia welcomed me and my family with the warmest embrace – literally and figuratively! Not only were we excited about her and the staff's loving service, we were equally excited about the carefully crafted menu paying hommage to foods from all throughout the African continent and diaspora. And how did she do them justice! Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were well-balanced and comforting for the soul. I especially loved the hibiscus drink! We left with full happy bellies and a warm heart. I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Lisbon. Thank you Sofia's Place 💛

9.5/10Amazing food, rich and spices that is served with passion and love. It’s clear that Sofia wants her guest to experience her passion for well prepared Cape Verdean foods. She places a lot of emphasis on food quality; from freshness up preparation and presentation. There are vegans options, plus 1 that was not listed on the menu. Drinks like iced hibiscus tea and her made-to-order Sangrias are made with freshly cut fruits. The space is small, very clean and intimate - so I totally recommend a reservation.

10/10So happy to have found Sofia's Place 5 mins from where we live! The food was amazing, real authetic tastes of Africa, the service was super attentive and the titular Sophia came out for a chat too. She was so friendly, you can really see this restaurant is a labour of love. The vibe of the place is excellent, first timers all seemed to enjoy themselves and most of the people were returning customers (I could overhear). We will definitely go back, anyone brave enough to run a restaurant and who does it this well, deserves your custom.

9/10This will forever be one of my favorite spots in Lisboa! The restaurant as a whole embodies the African culture within Lisbon. From the service to the food…everything was perfect! Sofia herself came and engaged with us making us feel like her family. We were a part of 6 and were accommodated very well. The food came in a timely fashion and the drinks did not disappoint.

10/10I throughly enjoyed my time at Sofia’s Place and would highly recommend visiting here, when you’re next in Lisbon!! I visited as a solo traveller, and my apprehension ( as dining solo) was put at ease by the enjoyable/welcoming company of the other patrons and the hospitality of Sofia and her daughters. The food was lovely coupled with the warm, cosy ambience. Sofia (the owner) is a great host- friendly, personable and passionate about her endeavours and I wish her all the best. I really enjoyed the personable experience and birthday treat which was heartwarming and greatly appreciated. Overall I had a delightful time and I will be returning

9.5/10Wonderful service and food after a long day of exploring the area. We were able to get a table quickly and the staff was exceptionally welcoming. Loved the white sangria and cod dishes!
