10/10Best meal I had in Portugal. The croaker (seafood stew) was the highlight followed by the charred octopus. Really nice setting in a great area. 10/10

10/10The restaurant has a very nice ambience, the food we had was incredibly good (dourada and robalo), wine was very tasty, waiters were really nice. I am definitely saving this restaurant in my favorites' list.

8/10Had the Octopus with potatoes and a glass of wine. Food and drinks are not too bad but the price point is on the higher side. Without the 30% discount I don’t think is worth it.

10/10This restaurant was recommended to us. We eat here two times both with the tasting menu. The food was outstanding and so fresh and plentiful. Best dinner meal for the entire trip. If you are in Alfama, or willing to venture there I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

7/10Food was excellent quality .. however good food needs good wine .. we ordered a glass of wine each we were served with something like 100 mg .. we would have ordered a bottle if there were wines less than 35-40 euros . . Service was prompt and courteous .. our only concern the lack of reasonably priced wine

10/10Nice experience, kind atmosphere and delicious food, whether you choose meat or fish you can choose a variety of interesting options. The wine is good and the price is honest and the plates are well calibrated. Finally the atmosphere is like being in family and the serving guys are very nice, we were served by Villena and she was super nice and make us feel at home. Thank you guys and see you suddenly :).

10/10This was my second time in Solar 31, and it was another great experience. We were a party of 4. We had octopus salad, shrimps, and mussels for starters. There were two main courses of sea bass, and one of grilled octopus. For dessert, some of us had ice cream or chocolate mousse. All dishes were delicious.

9/10This small restaurant is a surprise for me with their excellent taste of food. The Cataplana and sea food rice are so delicious, as well as others starters. The location of the restaurant is good, 50 steps from the fado museum and those small streets of Alfama atmosphere. We had a very good time and always like to discover this kind of small, cozy and good food restaurant.

10/10I was hoping to find a restaurant that didn’t have the tourist trap feeling, I did!!! The menu was very diversified, something for everyone. We are seafood eaters and their options in that area were fabulous. The service was excellent, any question we had were answered with a smile. We had starters, salads, main courses, wine, and no room for dessert. Everything we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented. Would go back and highly recommend Solar 31.

8.5/10Good food at reasonable prices, especially if using the Fok discount. The service was excellent. Overall, we had a nice evening here. It's a shame that the room was not air-conditioned, as the temperature of 28+ outside made eating the hot cataplana a bit of a challenge.

10/10Great location and great good. In the heart of Alfama. We ordered portugueese cheese, octopus and pork belly, and everything was delicious. Service was also 10/10.
