9/10Food was very good. Our overall service was also good. But, they sat us right inside the front door, which is left open. The heater did not work, so we were very cold through the entire meal. Also our table was right in front of the bathrooms with little room for people to get by. I kept getting bumped by people coming and going. Fix these issues and it would have been an excellent experience.

4.5/10Solferino invites expectations and given the prices on the menu and wine-list, rightfully so. The food was disappointing, the duck breast lacked flavor and was drenched in gravy, the Milanese was dry and with no taste.

10/10We very much enjoyed our meal at Solférino! From the host to our server, we were very well received and found all of the staff to be very accommodating. The restaurant is cozy and we enjoyed a table on the enclosed porch. The wine list is extensive and we enjoyed the wine by the glass which changed regularly. It is clear this is a popular restaurant with locals and tourists alike. We ended up eating here a second night and will return when next in Milan! Highly recommend!

4/10Service was horrible. We were there for nye and the waiter asked us 6 times in 10 mins if we were ready to order. We got set under tension to hurry and the waiter were soooo unfriendly. Also too expensive for food thats not even fresh. Without a lie this was the worst restaurant i ever ate at.

6.5/10During the winter holidays, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a unique and cozy atmosphere. This time we absolutely did not like the service. We ordered Тbone steak (price is 78€). The order took a very long time. When waiter finally brought it and cut it up, it turned out to be rare, although they asked for medium well. Therefore, we couldn’t even finish half the meat. We asked the waiter for take away , but instead he threw away the entire portion. This became clear when we had already paid the bill and were waiting for the box for a long time. It was unpleasant to have such an inattentive attitude. We also didn't like the wine that the waiter recommended. We checked and the rating of this wine in Vivino was 3.7, which is not high at all. But other than these points, the restaurant cuisine is quite good.

7.5/10Service and ambience excellent however the food was average for the price paid and the wine list was unfairly presented - the first page with bottles priced at €750 plus and we had to look hard for a reasonable priced one at €50/€60!!

2/10Horribly overpriced and rude service. My wife and I had the same dish (pumpkin ravioli) and still water. In total between the two dishes there was 6 medium sized ravioli, swimming in butter, and the total came to €62, which compared to other meals was absurd. Such was our disappointment that we actually left to go seek a second course and dessert elsewhere, out of hunger. Additionally, the service was quite rude and seemingly not very tourist-friendly. In all honestly, the worst dining experience we’ve had in the 20+ days in Italy in the past year. Definitely would recommend going elsewhere, so many better restaurants nearby

9/10Could not give full positive rating because when we arrived at 12:00 for our 12:00 reservation the main guy told us to leave and wait outside, as all the staff were sitting at a table eating their lunch and we needed to wait until they were done. He wasn’t even nice about it. He acted like we were there at the wrong time. I showed him our 12:00 reservation confirmation on The Fork and he said well they make that time, that is not our time. Then 10-15 mins later, he comes to the door smiling and all nice. Weird!!

10/10Amazing restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. The food is good although do not expect a large portion in Italian restaurants as they eat starter, first and second dish. The waiter was incredible with a fantastic sense of humour. An immense offer of wines is available. After just go for a walk through Via Solferino across Brera until reaching Teatro alla Scalla.

8.5/10This is a wonderful restaurant that combines a great ambience with high caliber food and service. There are a lot of tourist guests, and notably a lot of Americans (I’ve been using this restaurant for about 20 years so my comment is made based on many many visits) and yet at the same time the place is genuinely authentic. I think one of the very best all-rounders in Milan.

10/10Fabulous find. This restaurant caters to locals and has a wonderful menu and extensive wine list. We like it so much on our first outing, we went back two nights later with local knowledge--truffles were in season and they offered both black and white. My wife and I selected two dishes featuring truffles, and they did not disappoint. The host and our waiter recognized us from our first visit and treated us like neighbors. That is to say, they were wonderful providing tips about foods we should try in the other regions we will be visiting. Best of all, he humorously corrected my Italian cementing the lesson with laughter. We loved our visits there.

9/10It was wonderful to be back at this Milan classic. The food was exquisite and abundant, including a truffle pasta special. The wine list is very large with (as in most places) ridiculously inflated prices. Our only (minor) complaint was that they now do two seatings, so if you are at the first seating you will be hustled along a bit. I miss the old days of one seating at Milan restaurants so that you could linger over dinner, but I don't begrudge them the chance to earn more income as long as they keep serving mouthwatering cuisine...

10/10One of our most favorite restaurants in Milan and Italy. The service is outstanding, and the addition of the porch adds to the warn and wonderful atmosphere. The food is always tasty and well prepared. We look forward to our next trip to Milan and a return to Solferino.

2/10The experience was horrible! Service was was okay! The food was horrible as well, probably my 7 years old niece could make better pasta than the one we had. They try to upsell you so hard! The servers were not friendly and even the bill was sketchy

7/10The food at Ristorante Solferino didn’t disappoint. Especially the starters. We shared the bresaola, the burrata & the aubergine between 5 of us & all followed with a pasta. What let it down was the speed. Plates were taken away before they were finished & dessert menus put down immediately. We felt rushed out the door for the next booking. It was really off putting!

9.5/10We had a dinner at Solferino and absolutely loved it! The food was amazingly delicious and service quite speedy despite a very busy evening - not a single unoccupied table. It’s a perfect place for a family get-together, dinner with friends or your significant one. You won’t regret it. Im definitely keeping it on my places to visit again when we’re back in Milan.

5.5/10Charming and neighborhoody-feeling spot, but the food was far from exceptional. Milanese style cutlet was tough, dry, and greasy - as if it was made earlier and reheated. Other entrees were better, but not great. Service was friendly and attentive to start, but a little abrupt and by the end of the meal we felt abandoned. Most if not all the clientele were tourists.

4/10Dismal food bland and badly executed. Service smug insincere with an edge of aggression. Wine was of quality and tiramisu acceptable but honestly couldn’t wait to get out of there but when the waiter TOLD me we had received good service as I was paying the bill angling for a tip I felt like someone pissed on my shoes.Don’t go or you will regret it.
