The meal was well prepared and the service was fast and friendly. We found the music a bit too bleary and asked if they could turn it down a bit. The ambiance could have been better. All in all a tasty meal.

Especially for our dear Dutch friends, I would like to note that the culinary experience you will have in this restaurant will make you fall in love with Ukraine. We celebrated my birthday here, and it was a true gastronomic gift! Shashlik — tender, juicy, lightly smoky, paired with a homemade sauce. Forshmak — a fish spread balanced with onion and apple. Deruny — crisp golden crust, fluffy inside, with the comforting aroma of potato and onion, just like at home. Syrnyky — pillowy cottage-cheese pancakes served with sour cream and fresh strawberries. Medovyk — an authentic layered honey cake that tastes exactly like back home. House-pickled cucumbers and tomatoes round out the experience with the taste of a genuine Ukrainian feast. And to finish: an incredibly good cup of coffee that ties it all together.

We had never had Ukrainian food before. It was very good, fresh, and beautiful. They do not serve alcohol FYI. The staff was lovely, the Chef was very friendly. The chicken Kiev was nothing special.

From all the food we ordered , only the borscht was good, everything else was dripping in grease and not very tasty, in addition they're blasting rap music at full volume that makes it hard to enjoy a conversation

As a person who was born in Ukraine and lives abroad for a long time, this place feels like home. Authentic cuisine, grate ambiance. The meals are made with love and taste like my grandma’s cooking. It is a spacious place, ideal for meaningful gatherings. Can’t wait to visit again. Desert Napoleon tastes heavenly :)

I brought my Dutch friend there. We went through some traditional dishes. His words: "I'm not a soup guy, but this was amazing". After a few days, he came up to me and said, "I'm still thinking about borscht". Even I, as a Ukrainian, was surprised by the quality and taste of all dishes. In conclusion, everything was perfect, from wait time to taste. Absolutely recommended

Service was very good, food quality as well! Felt like home. The only thing that is not appealing is prices. Unreasonably high, higher than in some fancy places. Nevertheless, I enjoyed our visit and loved the delicious food 😋

Restaurant "Sonya" pleased with delicious food, excellent service and a cozy atmosphere! All dishes were delicious. Deruny, Kiev cutlet, tobacco chicken, cheesecakes - it was all of excellent quality and taste. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food!!! Thanks to the restaurant team for a great job!!!

One of the best restaurants I have been in The Netherlands. It was also my first experience with Ukrainian Cuisine. All the food and the drinks were so fresh and delicious. The place cozy, romantic and with good music. 10 stars for sure.

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air and wave of nostalgia all at once. Dishes I remember from childhood, and at the same time the taste you can't find anywhere in The Hague. Our personal fav is Chicken TAPAKA and Kievski Tort for desert. We are coming back for sure, want to try everything on the menu!
