9.5/10Really great food, Fantastic ambince, and friendly an very attentive staff. Definitely recommended. I only deducted a little bit of rating, becase i find it sad when authentic places try to be something that they just...aren't. Guys, we DON'T need yuo to be another boring michelin-starred place of quiet sadness. RELAX and do what you do - it's GREAT!! Sottococe - ok, ma con fuoco e appasionato e a voce piena!!! We opted for your Marine Sensation Journey, a multi-course seafood tasting menu (€170 per person), with two additional wine pairings. The setting? Absolutely stunning — dining rooftop with sweeping views of Lake Como is something truly special. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to the scenery. While there were 4 to 5 courses, only the scallops left a lasting impression. One of the fish dishes arrived undercooked, a surprising and disappointing mistake at this level of fine dining. The rest of the courses ranged from forgettable to mismatched, and overall lacked the finesse you'd expect from a tasting menu at this price point. The wine pairings were fine, but nothing remarkable, and certainly didn’t enhance the courses in any notable way. Service was courteous but detached, not particularly warm or engaging, which made the evening feel transactional rather than curated. We spent over 600EUR for 2 people, feeling like the view did most of the heavy lifting.

9.5/10This is a wonderful restaurant that is on the right track to eventually gain 1 Michelin Star. Service needs some fine tuning. The food was very good/excellent. However postres/dessert course could be improved as well. Ambiance is wonderful. We highly recommend.

+2We dined at Sottovoce our last night in Lake Como and it did not disappoint. We were a group of 8, ages 22 to 88 and everyone absolutely raved about our dinner. From the time we arrived we were met with exquisite service from Dario, Valeria, Ernest, Momo, Bernadette and Jeff. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the view of Lake Como takes your breath away. Now for the food, we chose the 9 course dining experience. There were several dishes we probably would have never thought to order but one after another, each was more delicious than the last. We had a few dietary restrictions that the kitchen staff which included Pietro, Giorgio, Jacomo, Maria and Chamy were more than happy to accommodate. Everything about our dining experience was top notch. If you have the opportunity to dine at Sottovoce Lago di Como, do not hesitate to go.

10/10The restaurant is roof top in the Vista Hotel and the view of the lake and mountains is lovely. We had the chef's surprise tasting menu and every dish was well thought out and beautifully composed. The service staff was fantastic. This was a very special experience and one I highly recommend.

This has nothing to do with a Michelin recommended restaurant. The service falls apart at the first moment. 9-course chef's menu, after three courses we are asked if we want dessert?? The first three courses delivered, then it was disappointment after disappointment. When we point out the quality of the fish, we are not taken seriously. When the last course is served, the staff takes a break with private conversations right by our table. Far from worth the money. We would gladly return to Como, but not here.

10/10It was our 20th wedding anniversary, so we wanted a meal that was special. The setting was fantastic in the stunning top floor restaurant overlooking Lake Como. The welcome and attentive staff made us feel special, pre-meal cocktails were amazing, and then the food was just incredible. Plenty of courses and variety, with incredible complimentary flavours and textures. We had an excellent bottle of Abruzzo pecorino wine with dinner (I wish I could remember what it was!), and then finished off with a cocktail on the balcony. An amazing, special and memorable meal from start to finish.

4/10Had engagement dinner here. Food was very disappointing, including lamb that was inedible. The first course was great, but went downhill after that, and the lamb was next level bad. Service was good, very nice. Ambiance was terrible, super bright lights, no music and about 10% full on a monday night at 830. Great views, no doubting that. Perhaps they just had an off night, but this was not a great experience for over $500 euro

10/10The service and the meal were excellent. Chef Alessandro is a true master using fresh locally sourced produce to create tasty sensations. Five amuse bouches, fresh bread, grissini, and wonderful menu options. The wine was excellent too. To finish we had some small sweets which were also delicious. Top dining experience probably best in Como.

10/10Our expectations have been exceeded. There has been a new head chef for three months and we think the restaurant is on the way to its first Michelin star. Artful dishes, beautifully presented on the plate. And a magnificent view over the lake. We would particularly like to emphasise the outstanding quality of service: Rarely have we been looked after in such an attentive, friendly and competent manner! A lot of consideration was given to our special requests. Many thanks to Valeria and her team! We look forward to our next visit!

6/10Food was generally good, sometimes great, but the service was terrible and ruined the whole experience. The manager was judgemental and didn't make us feel welcome while treating the other guests far better. Would not recommend this place for LGBT guests.
